Reviews on Central European food in Istanbul, Turkey. A social and geographic confluence where East and West, North and South, religious and secular, ancient and modern all converge in kaleidoscopic display, Istanbul is as vibrant an urban destination as you’ll ever visit on earth. Whatever strikes your fancy, chances are it’s done with vigor in this mega city that’s too expansive – and cultured – to settle upon only one continent to call its home.

We chose this restaurant on the basis of the great reviews on tripadvisor and were not disappointed. Seemingly a trait of the friendly waiters in Istanbul, the server was chatty and helped us choose dishes for dinner, without being too overbearing or hanging around all of the time. The restaurant was clean and we sat outside comfortably with outdoor heating keeping the early November chill away. The only downside was the outdoor seating is very close to the road so cars do drive quite close to you. But if that bothers you, there is plenty of seating inside. We tried a local dish called Borani made with lamb and veggie riceballs, and a Turkish dessert called kunefe which is a sweet dish with melted cheese - sounds weird but it works!

Welcome to Bistro Chef Resataurant & Cafe! Our restaurant has a great location (close to Gülhane park station). Just 5 minutes away from Aya Sofia mosque. We have as Turkish as international kitchen. We have vegetarian and vegan options as well! The most
We always use the restaurant when we are in town, its always good, clean and atmospheric . It sits at the bottom of a narrow road joining onto the tram route road (there are no cars on these roads so no exhaust pollution if you eat outdoors. The menu is much like many others but the food is first class and price very reasonable when you consider beads, tea and a sweet after diner taster is included. Service is quick and friendly. The best seating is outdoors but covered and heated if needs be.The Anatolian Kebab and the casserole cooked in the sealed clay pot and broken open at the table are among the best choices but all is good. Ive been going there for years and will continue to do soThank you for writing such a nice review. We appreciate it a lot!!!!!We do our best to provide the best service and food for our guests!Happy to hear that you liked it and shared your experience with other people!!We will be happy to see you again!!

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Bilal (George Clooney as he calls himself and looks 25% like him) is very energetic host who makes sure you enter his restaurant and have lovely food. We enjoyed both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. It was well presented and tasty. Dishes that we had were Anatolian Chicken, puff bread and dips and vegetarian kebabs. Worth a try for authentic Turkish food.

The friendly welcome enticed us in to this cafe on a street of many choices. The menus and prices are all similar (kebab based) so you take your choice of louder music / kilim covered seating / hookahs etc. Siva provided quieter music, comfy chairs and friendly staff so we popped back most days for a beer. Order the testi kebab for a flamboyant meal in a plant pot or the lamb shish for a quieter experience.Omer, at front of house, was particularly charming and helpful. We asked to see the happy hour menu and he held up the board saying 'it's here'Thank you very much for your nice recommendation hope to see you another time
