Living in Tunisia for the last 18months â¦Iâve to almost to all the âbestâ spots in Tunisia â¦.I heard lots of very positive reviews about the Bottega an alcohol-free restaurant located in the South Suburb of Tunis (not touristic) ...Thus I went there last week with very high expectations ... Nothing to say about the set-up, decoration, warm atmosphere and cleanness of the place â¦Service is spot on (considering the standards in Tunisia!) bearing in mind the place was packed â¦The Menu is rich and diverse â¦Ordered filet de boeuf and calamari â¦Food is well presented and fresh â¦Yet itâs really overpriced and quantity is limited to the bare minimum (the filet looked like a meat ball considering the price!!) ⦠Nice experience overall â¦Will experience the Pizza next time â¦Wonât be going there very often as other options available elsewhere with better value for money and generous portions.

With a nice place and location, the level is getting down every year. This visit was the worst ,Broken appetizer dish, old , smelly mayonnaise, with a flying insects..We had to cover the glass of water to protect it against insects...cold pizza, the restaurant wasn't crowded but the service was delay. I'm sorry for that place ...

I often go there and I'm always glad of the quality and the taste. The menu is simple, neat and you find everything: red meat, poultry and fish. Their homemade lemonade is great! I receommend the pasta anykind of pasta and specially the meat papardelle.

I donât recommend this place. First, unbeknownst to me at first, there are two places called Le Farfalle in Berges du Lac. One of them is either closed permanently, or not open in the evening; this was a disappointment after walking some distance in the night to find dinner. I discovered the other location the next day, and attempted a meal there that evening. The food is OKânot truly Italian, but not awful. But the gnocchi was mushy and overcheesed within an inch of its life. It was served scalding hot.The service was indifferent, and the food took some time to come after ordering, despite the low occupancy in the dining room. The biggest issue was that, when I attempted to pay with a card, I was told the machine wasnât working. This was not mentioned at the beginning of my meal. Because I was leaving the country the next morning, and because my bank charges me $5 to withdraw money abroad, I really did not want to use the ATM. I explained this but was met with a shrug. So in the end, this mediocre dinner cost far more dinar than it should have. There are better places nearbyâI had a much nicer experience at Breizh Bistro.

It is a clean place and the service is good, friendly. Usually packed during lunch time. Menu is having a huge variety from pasta to pizza, risotto, salads, sandwiches...The food taste is average level, pasta was overcooked, meat was too fatty, we tried 2 different times. Portions are large. Prices are very reasonable. A family eating main dishes, drinks can sum up to 50 tnd. Good value for money place.

This small restaurant is a hidden gem, managed by a family. Small menu but with excellent prices and excellent choices. I had spaghetti with calamari and boutargue which I ate my fingers after it. The spaghetti was al dente and very well presented. My wife pizza was crusty, cheesy and excellent. Service is top notch.I would recommend this restaurant highly. However, one hic. They do not accept credit cards, and that was a bog suprise for me. When I asked, the owner she gave me the answer that they had bad experience. (I think except paying the terminal fees and transaction fees, there are no other surprises) so a little bit cheap from that point of view, because, luckily my wife had enough cash with her to help me pay the bill. Otherwise I would have been forced to wash dishes. No i am kidding they advise you to go to a bank which is close by to withdraw money.

My husband and I visited this cafe/restaurant when we were looking for something to eat in the area. The place had descent google reviews.Food was Delicious. Seafood was fresh. Staff spoke English. No wonder since this cafe/Restaurant is located near the US and Canadian embassy. The atmosphere was nice. It was filling with employees of the nearby businesses looking for something to eat at their lunch break. The establishment was clean and kind of nicely decorated. It is kind of a bit expensive.I recommend this business.

The restaurant offers average setting for dining in the place ( defiantly nothing wow) and the food is average, there are lots of other small pizza shops around with better quality.I won't say its bad,but it doesn't deserve all the compliments we hear about it as well.
