Hotel grounds and Mediterranean views are beautiful. But I don't think this facility lives up to the Four Seasons brand because of the inconsistent service. For example, the young lady that checked me in was very impersonal. She acted like I was bothering her by checking in. She didn't explain to me the services and facilities available at the hotel, restaurant hours, etc. But on the other hand, there are staff that are absolutely exceptional, such as the concierge staff, and the service manager at the breakfast restaurant. Sorry I forgot his name. After the first morning, he greets us warmly and enthusiastically every morning, remembers where we like to sit and our drink preferences. That's an example of top-not service. But on the other hand at the same breakfast experience we can also expect very slow service for coffee refills, or asking if we needed anything. Hence the inconsistency. It seemed like service in the morning was slow due to not enough staffing. When we went for breakfast at 09:00 there seemed to be more staff working. Breakfast opens at 07:00, which is not that early. Perhaps service runs on Tunisian-time. Cleanliness at the hotel also seemed inconsistent. On several mornings, we found that the lobby had not been cleaned up from the previous evening. There were used wine and cocktail glasses and plates still on the tables in the lobby. At the breakfast restaurant, we found food crumbs on the table and floor, water glasses had water stains. A couple of times, water tasted soapy probably from the water stains. Again the inconsistency. The hotel room itself is very nice, very spacious with generous furnishings of dining table, small working desk, small sofa, and patio lounge chairs. Bed, beddings, and bath linens are clean and fresh. Overall though we find the hotel to be a bit cold and uninviting. Probably from too much marbles and stone decor because it feels like you are in a church or mosque. It has the old-school luxury feel. Perhaps grandma finds it very familiar. The property is enclosed by high walls with patrolling guards, bomb-sweep of all vehicles prior to entering the gate, and x-ray of bags before entering the lobby, for your safety of course. There is absolutely nothing immediately outside the compound. Taxi out to La Marsa and Sidi Bou Said about 15 to 20 minutes. We highly recommend using the Bolt ride-hailing app. It's very easing and you don't even have to be able to speak to the driver. And it is very cheap compare to western taxis. It is also nice to be able to get out of the "compound" a few times and enjoy the many nice restaurants outside that cost 1/4 the cost of restaurants at the hotel.

This is our first trip to Tunis. This hotel is exquisite, with a wonderful staff. One of the wonderful surprises of this property is the rooftop restaurant. When the outdoor seating is available, you can see 270 degrees of city lights. They also have the best brik (Tunisian snack) in all of Tunis. The hotel is also very close to the medina which is an extra perk, if you want to walk the souk (vendor stalls) and visit both the residential and the commercial side of the medina.

The Mövenpick hotel Gammarth Tunis is a unique and modern location for guests who value perfection. Located in an exclusive residential area, this hotel overlooks the beautiful bays of the Mediterranean and the hills of Sidi Bou Said. The hotel can be easily reached by car from the airport. Relax in the Kallisti spa, which boasts a fitness and health club.
I have passed the week-end at the Movenpick hotel Gammarth June 4 and 5 2022. I received excellent welcoming from personnel at the reception, and especially Wiem Zarrougui who is exceptional and helpful. I also received a birthday cake to celebrate this special personal event. I would advise to come to this hotel to enjoy the swimming pool and private beach. Excellent stay indeed!!

Carlton Hotel Tunis: In the center of the Tunis city center! Perfectly located on the main street of Tunis city center, Avenue Habib Bourguiba, the Carlton Hotel offers a totally renovated setting close to several important destinations. On foot, by car or in public transportation, the majority of business or leisure spots are just 5 to 20 minutes away from the Carlton, including The Tunis-Carthage International Airport, the médina of Tunis and the Harbor of Tunis-La Goulette. We are surrounded by excellent restaurants and many shopping opportunities. We are a 3star hôtel with upper class service, and excellent breakfast . The Tunis Carlton is beautifully decorated with lots of original art pieces (sculpture; paintings, photography ant street art. The best "Boutique hotel" in Tunis, in the center of downtown Tunis!
I reserved for my sister who has training in Tunis …Since day one she was the victim of bullying from the security or guard who is standing in the door who asked her if she is an hotel resident ..it sounds normal question but the way he said it was impolite..than he turned to his colleague and whispered to him that for sure someone paid for her!! My sister felt bad because of this disrespect ( as if she looks poor and has no money to pay by herself !!)and complained to the receptionist who apologized immediately. At the same day she lost her glasses when she left the room then when she asked them they sent 3 cleaners, one of them tended to take the intention of my sister to look in her bag ..and the other went inside the bathroom and brought the eye glasses and assumed that it was there from the beginning ..although my sister was sure that she looked there before and it was not there !! The next day they refused to clean her room because of that !! I m really shocked that an issue with one person could become a revenge in an important hotel like Carlton!! There is no respect for Tunisian tourists or residents..I feel very embarrassed that I choose this hotel for her ..Especially that a 5 star hotel near to them was giving offer at the same price , that will be the last time we go there and I don’t recommend it for “Tunisians”!! People there are terrible except the receptionist who were a good listener..but we didn’t see any action to solve the issue..just indifference !

Movenpick Hotel du Lac Tunis is situated near Tunis Lake in the heart of Tunis’s Les Berges du Lac district, close to many embassies and multi-national companies. Our five-star hotel is only 10 minutes from Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN) and 15 minutes from downtown Tunis.
- Location: Hotel location is quiet, @15min from the international airport. - Room: Large, ultra-clean and tidy, decoration is modern. Sometimes room service staff forget to supply shower gel, shampoo, or towels but that is not a big deal, call them and they will handle the request very fast. The view from the room was not interesting in my case (Partially on the lake), there are probably more interesting full lake view rooms. - Staff Members: Everybody there is professional, kind & helpful (Special thanks to Atef & Yosra @BKFST buffet). - Buffet: Whether for breakfast or dinner, the buffet is varied and the food is tasty. - Fitness Room: Well equipped and ultra clean, there is everything you need for your workout session.

El Mouradi Gammarth is situated alongside a beautiful beach of golden sand facing the forest of Gammarth and close to the town of La Marsa, once a summer resort for the beys (rulers) of Tunisia. It is near to the ruins of Carthage and the village of Sidi Bou Said and is 10 kilometres from Tunis-Carthage international airport and 15 kilometres from the capital Tunis. This new hotel is ideal both for holidays for pleasure and for business trips.
Awesome hotel with impeccable service and very good staff. Walking distance from the beach and still get service while on the beach enjoying the sun and sand. I will definitely recommend this for all my friends and family for both work and vacation.

This is the best location in Tunis, right at the entrance to the souk. A pleasant walk in the opposite direction down the main street. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is very satisfying and will keep you fueled for the day. Wide selection of items. It is easy to grab a taxi right outside the door of the hotel. The manager also arranged for a doctor to visit to administer a Covid test and was able to print our results for us. Would definitely stay here again.
