Restaurante alamo chalet, is a traditional place in ambato ecuador, we have the best place for you dinner, your experience will be unforgettable in a quiet environment to enjoy with good music and realy lovely food.
A charming interior beckons you but only offers uneven kitchen performance. Their best offering was appetizers (entradas) on a noche musical with nice toasts, good cheese and ham and salsas. It's a nice place for a drink or a coffee but not too interesting for its main meals.

Any taxi driver can take you there, it's well known streets, pretty much in the center of the city.
This is our second time eating at the Parrilladas el Gaucho and once again we were not disappointed. The staff is friendly, the ambience is great and the food was delicious.

On our first visit, a perfect shrimp in garlic sauce. The second time, the same dish was not very good at all. The second visit was a treat for friends that did not work out well. Also, be warned, that they do not do what we have become accustomed to eating as ceviche at the coast of Ecuador. Nice but not the way they do it on the beach. Remember that lunch is the main meal of the day in Ecuador so the choice of "lunch" in the drop down menu below implies that it is a light meal. Here, it's not.

The warm wood interior of Quinta Loren has the feel of an hacienda of the 19th century. Some tables have excellent views of the mountains and, on clear days, the volcano Tungurahua. All of the beef dishes are excellent. Some pork dishes are a bit overcooked but this may just be a customary approach for South America. The only place I've ever had medium rare pork has been in Spain and it was wonderful. Shrimp dishes are usually good but fish (such as Ecuadorian corvina) can be very uncertain. Once the corvina was kind of old frozen fish instead of the fresh corvina that is in local markets every day. Soups, appetizers and desserts are all very good as well.

My wife had the Bife con hueso and I had the T-Bone. Both were $12 and worth every penny. Nice salad with Croutons and Thousand Island dressing (rare in this country). The service was excellent. The environment was not extremely fancy, but not a rowdy family place either. A cup of wine is only $2! (Not the best wine, obviously, but fine with a meal). Highly recommended!

I tried bbq ribs, they are well done and tasteful, in my opinion a little overcooked , I prefer another type of salad and potatoes, maybe they need to try another dish like tomahawk that it's really interestingThak you Jimmy for your opinion, it was a pleasure for us to have you in our Restaurant, we hope you can visit us again and try some other dishes.

I went here for my birthday, it seemed nice, looks pleasant, the staff were friendly and the menu requires you to build your burger if you choose to do so, they do have other food available. The burger meat was a ball not a pattie and the add ons were expensive but you literally got one or two onion rings and one of two pickles, it was poor for what you pay, the fries were so stringy and thin, I found it very very expensive for what you get, it is a quick way to kill a restaurant with those prices and that food.

Hacienda San Pedro de Quisapincha, located in the oldest parish of Ambato city, surrounded by a natural unique environment, transports us to the life of an antique ranch, disconnecting us from the daily routine. Restaurant is inside an Hacienda house date
