Tularosa is a village in Otero County, New Mexico, United States. It shares its name with the Tularosa Basin, in which the town is located. To the east, Tularosa is flanked by the western edge of the Sacramento Mountains. The population was 2,864 at the 2000 census. During the 1990s and early 2000s, the town, north of the much larger Alamogordo, experienced moderate growth and construction as a bedroom community, especially in the housing industry. Tularosa is noted for its abundance of cottonwood shade trees and its efforts to preserve the adobe-style architecture of its past.

We make a point of trying Mexican food in as many places as possible. Its our favorite type of food. Visiting White Sands and went here for dinner, and it was so damn good we came back the next nite. Definitely some of the best I've ever had.

Ordered the ranch style and brisket burritos and they were wonderful. Get a side of the green sauce and also sour cream if you don't want your nose hairs to curl up from the heat. Small and quaint we took a table outside to enjoy the incredible New Mexico October weather.

We were on our way from Ruidoso to White Sands and needed something for lunch.
Stopping here was a great idea!
Local, flavorful food, prepared in a traditional manner.. and don't let them fool you, the green sauce was HOT!
The service was excellent - we'd recommend this place to all our friends!

Ok, so it's an old, VERY plain drive-in where you can eat inside or outside via car-hop service. Food is basic/diner/drive-in food ... Burgers, steak-fingers + nice array of simple, but good Mex dishes. Very good bang-for-the-$$$. Doesn't compare to Laredo Restaurant & Bakery close by for Mex food. Regardless, overall this is good chow where you come fill-up the tank without breaking-your-bank. Nice, hard-working owner & staff. You root for good folks like this who work hard trying to make an honest $$$ - & deliver good food/service.
Net/net: Think a still active authentic good drive-in in American Graffiti &/or Last Picture Show.

Was upset that the burger place I wanted to go to in Alamogordo was closed for the day and I had to settle for Tulie Freeze. Wow! Disappointment turned to joy when I got a perfect green Chile cheese burger and some of the best fried green Chile wedges with queso. Can't wait for my return trip. Daddy loved the milk shake too!

Really looked forwarded to their Saturday night Prime Rib dinner. The restaurant is located in a truck stop with its own outside entrance. I'm sure some of the food there is good but their prime rib left a lot to be desired. It was way over cooked and you could not cut it with your knife. They served a dinner roll on top of a dish of carrots. The result was soggy bread. Plus there was not any butter for the roll. Service was fair but I think it will be some time before I return. It was very over priced for the value.

It's what you would expect from a Subway. The food is good, the store is clean. If you are in a hurry and want a drive thru, it works!
