Trujillo is a lively intersection of ancient culture and modern arts. See ancient ruins at the Chan Chan archaeological site and be awed by the Moche Huaca del Sol y la Luna (temples of the sun and moon.). The multicolored Tunnel of Wishes on the Paseo de Aguas is a fabulous place for people-watching. Locally brewed corn beer is worth a try. If you’re a nightlife lover, pace yourself—bars and clubs get going late, and then go all night.

The 4 of us were seated in a large, empty room with a very loud and annoying TV. After multiple requests they turned it down but 20 minutes later turned it back up. The service was a disaster. The food was mediocre. Maybe they were having an off night but it was probably our worst meal in our 2 weeks in Peru.

There are two Romano's so ,be sure you find the one in the, Urb,Recreo, Calle EE, UU, 162, Fantastic Northern Peru selections, I am a beef guy and this the place to be, Outstanding service, Only downer is that they close at 4:30, If I had time for only lunch in Trujillo I would take it here,

The lechon Sandwich is marginally better than that I purchased at a stand in Mercado Central mainly because they ladle liquid on it to keep it moist. Personally I would prefer a fattier piece of the pork.

Casona Deza is the most beautiful colonial house of the Americas. It is also known as Casona de los Leones. The ambient is spectacular and the food is homemade. We cultivate most of the ingredients and promote healthy eating. We take pride on the selection of the ingredients and the quality of our coffee. It is the best in town! Some customers said that it is the best in Peru - we think that we still have a way to go. We are a family that enjoys hospitality because we are travelers too. And we know that while traveling away from home nothing taste better than a homemade meal prepared by a caring host. We are not sharp professionals in the restaurant business, but we love to take good care of our guests.
We went for dinner and were extremely disappointed in both the food and the service. Tasteless pasta dishes served cold and pasta not cooked properly ... Certainly not an Italian in the kitchen! I know this restaurant has good comments fir

Great food in a beautiful colonial style building. It was a place full of locals so it wasn't typical touristy food. I'd definitely return and have recommended it to friends of mine visiting Trujillo.
Ten of us had lunch at Squalo's and were not disappointed. Although we were a large group service was excellent. There were a variety of local Peruvian dishes on the menu so it was hard to choose. I had the grilled salmon with vegetable rice and mixed veggies. The salmon was well cooked, not over done at all. The rice was tasty and the veggies were cooked al dente. We arrived early to a pretty empty restaurant but by the time we left, there were people waiting. Clearly it is a popular place to eat.

Grouper brasa ceviche was amazing. The "apatadito" (duck) was spectacular and "mojadito" (seafood) was great, too. There is a ceviche mix that I don't recommend, its selfservice and few portions for that price, Deserts where poor. Gourmet grouper looked really good but didnt try.

We ate on a small balcony overlooking the street. Food was really good as was the wine list. Staff very friendly. We went there twice and it was excellent both times.

Coco Torete offers an excellent selection of grilled meats that our table enjoyed. The portions were huge especially the ribs. They were very specific as to how the beef would be done. The sides of roasted vegetables that included peppers and potatoes were tasty. Unfortunately, they used canned mushrooms for the barbecued and ceviche mushrooms and resulted in a poor selection. The service was friendly and efficient.

I was lucky in that I stayed at the hotel so was able to enjoy Las Bovedas whenever I wanted over six days. I ate breakfast daily and dinner here multiple evenings and enjoyed everything from asparagus soup to mixed salad to delicious steak to fresh ceviche: in fact their ceviche (seabass) was my favorite ceviche dish that I had in all of Peru! I am still dreaming about it. The service was wonderful - every single time. Don't hesitate to go here if time (and appetite) allows.

I went to the bar to get my free drinks and were the best Pisco Sours, Junior our server was nice and always make sure to see if we need something else, great service.
I would recommend to try Fry Causa.
Drinks are affordable if you are on vacation :)
