False information on booking re:Pet Policy

My challenge was the false information provided when booking the reservation and the attitude of the front desk clerk at check-in. I specifically asked during our reservation process how much the cost was for our small, non-shedding, hypo-allergenic dog was going to be. The reservation clerk quoted me $20.00 which is the standard for most hotels. Upon arrival after a full day of travel, the clerk at the desk stated that the fee was $100.00 for pets. She continually stated that reservations are handled off site “and probably from a foreign country” and I should have checked “their own hotel website where it clearly states that their pet fee is $100.00”. I asked to speak with the manager and the clerk advised that the manager was “unavailable and would only tell me the same thing”. This attitude and misinformation has made me consider not using Hilton Hotels again. We are recently retired and now that the land borders between Canada and the USA have re-opened, we plan to do a lot of travelling. So very disappointed! I followed up with an email to the general manager and received response…(Auto reply?) advising that they were sorry that I was unhappy but their policy is posted on their location website. I don’t know about others, but I have done my booking through the Hilton site and their worldwide reservation number. I responded to the email with this explanation and requested that their be a credit made to my card for this overcharge. I asked that they listen to the recorded conversation (which they tell you that the conversation is being recorded for quality concerns) to confirm what I was told and the pet fee when I booked the reservation. I then received another reply from the GM stating that there was no way to do this??? And there would be no refund made. Any further concerns should be directed to the corporate office. I then sent an email to the listed CEO, Mr. Nassetta, and their customer service email. I have not received any type of response. THIS IS NOT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I’D EXPECT TO RECEIVE FROM HILTON HOTELS TOWARDS A HILTON HONOURS MEMBER.

Reviewed By mysteejWe chose this hotel for proximity to a sports competition our child was in. Very clean. Staff is friendly. Breakfast options and starting time were great. Beds were comfortable. Pool was great for the kiddos. Staff were great with kids. We forgot something in the room when we left. We called and asked if they could hold it for us to come back and get. They kindly held the item for us at the front desk. I’d highly recommend this hotel for the Dayton/Troy area. This hotel will be my first pick if we need to go back to this area again.

We booked the hotel with the support of the reviews on trip advisor and they did not disappoint, a clean friendly atmosphere upon arrival! Room was spacious and clean ( we had a king room). This weekend ended up as our start as well for looking for permanent residence in Ohio as well so we used the Troy area as our guide to look for homes to either buy or rent as well as attending the race!!!

The hotel is convenient to major companies such as Hobart, F & P America, KTH, Honda, Goodrich, Emerson, among others. All rooms include a well lit desk, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. In the evening take a dip in our indoor pool, and get a workout in our new state of the art workout facility!

Reviewed By MalindambThere was a roach in our room in the morning. Also very thin walls and dirty rooms. The bathroom smelled very bad. I feel that this hotel is going down hill quickly. The front desk was very nice about it and the staff was friendly.

Reviewed By Hotshotnc93Stopped in after driving 14 hours was asked if we needed smoking or non smoking. We asked for smoking then she told us nope. So I told her non smoking was fine. She told us to go someplace else there was no smoking there even though I told her I wasn’t going to smoke. Piss poor customer service the lady was rude from the beginning. Do not waste your time stopping here.

Reviewed By BrendaA1201I was hesitant to stay in a Motel 6 because 35 years ago was the last time I stayed in one and it was terrible. But this particular one is very different than 35 years ago. The room was updated and no carpet on the floor which was a plus. Very clean and I would definitely stay there again. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and it definitely was nice to have Subway and Wendy's right across the street.
