Excellent Eggplant Parmigiana, good salads, too. Pasta alfredo sauce is sometimes too thin, but usually rich & creamy. On the other hand, sometimes the marinara sauce is too thick. Great homemade chips. Wait staff is the best!

Stopped there while traveling from a North Carolina beach: stopped for late breakfast (after 10am) along with alot of other travelers on I-74N. Inside was a standing line waiting to be seated. But only took about 7 minutes and we were given the option of sitting at the counter or a booth. We tried the counter, but had a hard time with the chair heights, but took the option at the other end of long counter where there was a lower counter, which we took. A server greeted us and took our drink orders then our food orders after delivering the drinks. I ordered the "Texas" which was a fried egg, cheese, and sausage sandwich with a generous side of hash brown potatoes. My wife ordered a waffle (which she 'graded' ok). I thought the sandwich was very good. The bill for the two of us was only about $12. The place was busy and the workers were experts at completelly orders. All personnel were courteous and very helpful in finding us a proper seating accomodation.

Star N.C. is the quintessential factory town laid low by foreign production and imports. Too bad, because the remaining structures are in many instances really beautiful and very substantial, for example, the old hosiery mill in town that has been repurposed as Starworks, where craftspeople create some amazing crafts, especially glass, which people buy from miles around.
Martha's Grill was recommended as a good place to get lunch and the recommendation was well deserved. Martha's has been here for about twenty years, and Martha herself is still on the grill cooking delicious food, for very very fair prices, starting most days at 4 a.m.! She usually serves only breakfast and lunch, but she is open 5 am- 8 pm on Thursday and Friday for dinner, serving the lunch menu/tasty specials then too. Closed Sunday, I believe. We did not have a large appetite so had only the delicious hamburger and a cheese sandwich, served by Hannah in a prompt and friendly way. Good variety, including popular plate specials; we hear the pork chop one is especially good. I really admire Martha's diligence and standard for quality.

My daughter and I stopped here on our way back from Myrtle Beach. The restaurant is extremely clean and we were met at the sidewalk before even entering the door.. The chips and salsa with the freshest I've ever had at any Mexican restaurant. The food was in abundance with over 16 large pieces of shrimp on my one shrimp quesadilla. And an entire chicken breast on my chicken taco. My daughter got a burrito and she said there wasn't a single bite without meat in it. I will stop here again the next time we go to or from the beach

From breakfast and lunch to camping gear and clothing....they have all! What a great place....you could spend hours walking around inside. Convenient to four wheeling and kayaks ng, this place reminds me of places in the mountains. Worth a side trip to visit this place!

Back in town means back to Sherry's. In for breakfast and lunch today. Eggs, grits, sausage, biscuits and coffee in AM and big D burger ( 6 oz on a sesame bun) for lunch. They give 10% discount to seniors. Menu covers breakfast, lunch and dinner with a good variety. Be back for sure.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to the Ewharrrie National Forest. The staff is friendly. The place was almost full so we sat at the bar. I ordered the shrimp jalapeno poppers and my wife got the Chicken Philly sandwich. The poppers were just ok. My wife's sandwich was good. The fries that cam with my wife's sandwich were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised how fast our food came out since they were pretty busy.

Stopped in for a quick lunch last summer. I haven't eat eaten here since 2001, decided to give it another try. This time I got a double cheeseburger instead of a single and it was much much better, also had onion rings will come again when running errands and need a quick lunch

We ate here three days in a row, for both lunches and dinners.
Simple diner ambience, large portions of good southern cooking, attentive and friendly serving staff. If you're looking for French presentation and high prices, go elsewhere. If you seek good food with great hushpuppies and watchful service, come here, bring friends or family, or a book. This is a great place!

Being from out of town, this is my first time there since they opened in January. Nicely redone inside. Have a nice salad bar. Good looking buffet with 2 meats and several sides. Tonight was chicken pie and fried chicken. Both were good. Hot table dessert was blueberry/peach cobbler. Everything had good flavor. Bill for buffet and iced tea was $ 12 and change. These people want you to leave full and happy. I will be back.
