DOLCE is a high-end pastry shop with integrity, quality products, and excellence in management and customer service. Everything is made from scratch. It was formed by Jamey McDaniel, located on the square in Troy at 78 N Court Square. Jamey began his career as a pastry chef in Birmingham, AL. In the mid 1980's but soon moved on to New York, NY and Boston, MA. Studying under an Italian Chef, he mastered his skills and got to experience the satisfaction that comes from turning raw ingredients into a beautiful array of warm, delectable treats before breakfast. He became a published chef in the 1992 Southern Living-American Country Christmas Cookbook. Dolce specializes in croissant however, the menu is growing. It opened offering croissant, cookies, biscotti, puff pastries, homemade pasta and quiche. The hours are 7:00 am-4:00 pm Tuesday-Saturday and brunch on Sunday 11:00 am -2:00 pm. They welcome special orders.
Wait staff regularly checks to see if everything is going all right, if anyone needs refills, etc. The owner is pleasant and helps out just as much as the staff. The food is always lovely and the prices are mostly appropriate. Thanks for your visit and review. Our staff love working here and it shows.

The South needs a new cookbook.
Staff is lovely, pleasant and accommodating. Food is "Golden Corral" type food. Biscuits are nice. Veggies are cadaver-like from a can or cooked to death, great mush.
Baked chicken was not bad but nothing special. "Brunch" screams a mixture between breakfast and lunch, apparently not here. Nothing but a glorified Sunday dinner. No breakfast stuffs to be seen. No juice in the building.
Salad bar is tiny but the freshest food you'll find to eat here.
They charge for excess food left on plate, which I commend and totally agree with. However, if you have excess food on your plate it is probably worth the charge - save your body.
Final answer: NO...keep driving.

Went to Village Coffee because there is no Starbucks in the area. I asked for a drink similar to what I normally get at Starbucks and my drink was actually better. I had a "salted caramel frappachino", it was great.
Very friendly and they also had places to sit with wifi. I'm visiting but will go back.

We stopped in as we had a great meal last year and once again it was as good as ever...great selections and value. Good serve even though very busy. Well done and recommended.

We made a spur of the minute choice to dash into Trojan Donuts while driving through Troy last month. It was a very good choice. The donuts were nice and fresh and the staff behind the counter were very welcoming, helpful and made the experience a real delight.
My husband and I each had two donuts and enjoyed all we tried. Just wish I had gotten the Apple fritter that they had recommended. It looked wonderful. The selection of items sold seemed fine to us and it was really nice to find a local shop - not a chain.
The parking lot was a bit small and seemed that it could be hard to park if it is full. The inside of store was a tad off-putting due to layout but all in all it was fine. The food and counter staff more than off set those small negatives.

Found this establishment passing through town last night. Decided to stop and very glad we did. The service was so over the top friendly made us feel like locals. The owner even stopped by to see if we were enjoying our meals and of course we were.
Their menu is mainly pizza wings and the like but in the mornings they serve doughnuts. The owner arrives at work at 2 am and makes them from scratch. Yes last night when we were dining at 7pm he had arrived at 2am. Not sure if he took a break durning the day but even if he did that makes for a very long day. He truly has a passion for what he does
The pizza was awesome, they have a nice selection of craft beer and a nice selection of wine. Our waiter was awesome too, when we asked what the doughnut boxes were for is how we found out about them and what doesn't sell in the morning goes home with diners in the evening. Thus, as I sit here writing this we are enjoying coffee with day old doughnuts and yes they are delicious!

This is a good place to get some BBQ at a low price. I recommend the BBQ plate with iced tea. We love it.

Traveling all day, we stopped for dinner at Rodeo Mexican. Yum! The margarita special was a good starter, the quesadilla supreme was tasty and my husband’s burrito was OK. The only issue we had was our server didn’t comprehend well & the burrito, which was supposed to be chicken was carne asada, but delicious so my husband didn’t want to change. Chips & salsa were good too!
