I really have no idea why this place has such great reviews. The service is awful. It takes for ever to get a table, you wait for ever to just get your drinks in and then order food. The fish was way to salty and the sides were crap. Whole thing was expensive. Wouldn't recommend it.

This restaurante is located in the 5 star Design Hotel of the Troia Marina
Been here twice. First time food was really nice, last time ( for ever ) food was extremly dissapointing! Had a "tournedo of tenderloin" the meat was ok, but the veggies served to it was like a overcoocked stew, awfully looking as well as awfully tasting. Even worse was my wifes pork file... It wasn't done enough... And that is bloody dangerous! -Ramsey would have screamed his lungs off at this serving.... Our son got a spaghetti bolognese, where the pasta tasted like it was rinsed in detergent... I tried to end on a high note, ordering chocolat suffle'... It was bake-off style, even the paper in the bottom wasn't removed... Half descent tasting, but not up to par with expectations. Service was friendly, however totally unexperianced. I really cant recommend going here ( or any other Troia restaurangs, you are better off taking ferry to Setubal in the evenings )

Spent 12 days in Setùbal and went here for dinner 3 of them. We had no expectations the first night as it didn't look much from outside. I tried the Black Angus Steak and it was among the best meat I've had, after that we knew we had to come back for more and we were not dissapointed. The picture is of the Tomahawk, 45 days matured steak.

We picked this restaurant, after some great feedback from our friends. It did NOT let us down! Here you can have “petiscos” (like tapas) or main courses. We chose the first. We ordered bread, sheep butter, “alheira” croquettes, goat cheese with pepper jam, alioli shrimp and scrambled eggs with “farinheira”. We had a great meal and were quite full! We didn’t ask for dessert, but we recommend everything we tried. The staff was all very friendly. The service is not fast, but since the concept is to eat slowly while talking at the table, this didn’t bother us. The place is cosy, decorated like a Portuguese tavern with a modern twist.

Located ina quit plave of Seubal, with good parking conditions, this a rather quit fish reaturant, clean, with a good service and for those who like with a very good choice of wine from Quinta do Alcube, a local wine groing farm with excelent wines.

Had lunch here recently with my family during a brief visit to Setubal. We all shared a couple of servings of “choco frito” (fried cuttlefish, a local specialty) as an entrée, and it was good. I then had a fish and seafood rice, which was great. The others had various types of grilled fish, and everybody seemed happy. The service was very acceptable (especially considering that the place was full), and the prices were more or less within expectations.

Anexo Pizzeria is a modern and cosy space, whith restaurant service, where you can enjoy pleasant moments of socializing while enjoying the pleasures os a good meal. We offer our costumers a variety of dishes from salads, pastas, pizzas and rissottos. The dishes that we made we combine quality service, for the satisfaction of our customers is our main goal.
The păos were awesome, just the flavour as describe in the menu. The pizza was good but nothing more special exempt the thin crust. For me it was too much cheese and not enough other ingredients.
service was quite poor... feel like un local even if we are.

Taifa is not a Cafe. Taifa is not a Restaurant. Taifa is not a bar. Taifa is all the above, and much more...
Firstly is the only place in Setúbal with some good Thai food...
The tom yam soup is just yummy.
The staff is friendly and fun.
The place is a mixed of ages .. way of dressing...all sorts of music...from jazz to R&B..and some days they have live music.
So if you are in Setubal is a must.

A local favorite with the freshed grilled fish and meat at a fixed price per entree (between £10 and £12). Here are my tips: get there early on the weekends or you will likely wait, they take Reservations for lunch and dinner on the weekends. Choose to sit outside because the inside dining room gets loud. To order: I get the Dourada (Golden Bream) with a starter of clams, with a 1L jar of white vine, to share with friends. For the dessert, I get the chocolate mouse, which tastes homemade and is as sweet as any dessert I have ever tasted. Afterwards, you can stroll to the docks and seaside park. Lots of action in this seaside area.

Restaurant by the river. Ideal for seafood, fresh fish sourced from Sado river, tapas or steaks. Comfortable, yet relaxed atmosphere. Gin bar. Occasionally, in-house DJ on Saturdays. Easy parking. Open late at night.
