When in San Franando the Rig is definitely one of the spots to go to have a drink chill or lime with friends and eat. You'll get lots of music and see lots of people if you go either a Friday or Saturday night. I would be returning and I rate The Rig 4/5 as a bar and restaurant. If I had to critic anything I would say the bar and other staff could give service with a smile.

Great food and probably needs to expand the menu. Very friendly staff and service with a smile. Very homely, everybody knows your name or your face. Excellent prices to suit any pocket. Outside of business needs a little tuning up but inside is cool and relaxed. Great DJ that plays to the crowd. Seating outside for smokers or if you just wanna watch the traffic go by. Parking along the side street is not bad in case the front is full. I also like it alot cause I'm somehow very relaxed there and no one harasses you. Even my wife too feels very comfortable and sometimes you get live music. They serve lunches as well, which are very tasty. They also have credit card facilities which works for me as I hate to walk with cash. It's not a 5 star restaurant but it's somewhere you can be yourself and just kick back and have a fun evening with friends and even strangers. If you're not looking for something too fancy, this is your best bet. Enjoy.........

This restaurant has not improved its service levels in years. I avoided this restaurant for over 9 months because of the bad service last year but my husband and I decided to give it a try recently. There were alot of servers standing around but we still had to wait to receive a menu and to place an order. The one appetizer order took extremely long to come out as well. They also did not have one of the wine options listed on the menu which was requested. I guess we will be avoiding here again.

On entering, I saw the shiny new espresso machine and became hopeful. It was the best espresso I had in Trinidad. I spent the last month in France and I have to say the taste, by comparison, was up there! I am not a big breakfast person, but decided to give the scambled eggs a try. The eggs were soft and creamy. Perfect! What a difference from the dry, brown, butchered eggs that other places serve. Service with a smile. I will be back for sure!What a review! Thank you so much for your great feedback. I recently had dinner with some friends at the restaurant at the Royal Hotel. It was a wonderful experience! The server was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. Overall, the dining experience was really enjoyable! I loved the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. It was my first time dining there and I enjoyed it!

My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant recently and was quite happy with the great service received! The staff was very attentive and the owner/manager visited our table and explained the menu items as well. The food was very tasty and well priced, we received good value for money! We will be back when they introduce their dinner service!
