Have eaten here twice in the last two months and I'll eat here again. This restaurant is run by the Trinidad & Tobago Hospitality & Tourism Institute. The students do the cooking (under supervision) and the students do the Service (also under supervision). What a great place to learn. The Saturday menus are fixed with the only choices being the entrees and the dessert. Wow, this is the best value for money and you need to try. While the restaurant is not huge some items may run out if the requests for particular items are numerous. We have not been disappointed. This institute is turning out some pretty good chefs and service people. There is a local take on certain items, my Risotto was more like a savoury rice and it tasted good, but it was not Risotto. Give it a try and help build the confidence of the students. Unless you are a perfectionist (eat your own food then), this is a must try. Reservations are absolutely required!

We have visited 4 times since introduction of their new menu and Iâm not happy to report that the consistency and standards have dropped somewhat. Iâm confused as to why they would remove popular items to make room for unenticing things. Some changes mystify me like removal of crab cakes from their menu! We used to love their crab cakes and would go there just to have them. But it is certainly not because they no longer stock crab meat, as they still offer crab wantons! How bizarre! We also loved their fried onion bloom with various dipping sauces and that has gone too. Such a simple and quick-preparation item, and poofâ¦disappeared from the menu! Also, there are long-preparation items on the menu now like the two sushi rolls, but it is often not available as perhaps only certain chefs on duty can prep those special items. And when they do have it, youâve got to really love it bad to wait for it as it takes at least 45 minutes to prepare! Iâm confused as to why they would remove simple-prep offerings and add items that require more time and effort to prepare? It just doesnât make any sense to me. I still love the staff and would love to continue giving them my support but as my husband would sayâ¦.âwhy change something that doesnât need changing?â There used to be a nice football vibe in Trotters on a Saturday and on this occasion, we walked in with no game on the main screen (yes, believe it or not!) and whilst they were willing to put on what we wanted to see in our dining area, there was zero volume. Gone is the upbeat music too so the place just seems dead and of now lacks the vibrant atmosphere. I would honestly say that Iâm a fan of the old Trotters. Bring back the old Trotters please!

Hot Subs is an intimate sandwich shop, established in 2005, serving up a worldly inspired tour of flavors! With 2 convenient locations at Grand Bazaar & West Mall, it's the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Using fresh, quality ingredients
I enjoyed the pasta with chicken, shrimp, parmesan cheese and peppers. It was so delicious! Compared to other restaurants I dined in or saw what persons received; this restaurant is a place you will get the right quantity and quality for an affordable price. The pasta I ate was so filling and amazing! I even bought a garlic bread. Hot Subs is a place for fine dining. At Hot Subs you can buy salads, pastas, subs and pananis. I dined at Shops of Arima for lunch. Best place you can go!
