Reviewed By aloramariaRight at the top of the village with a lovely roof terrace with incredible views. My room off the roof terrace was clean and quite adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful. One stupid hiccup was the lack of a hook for the cord to keep the roller blind up, which of course you wanted to for the beautiful views!

Google translate got us through the introductions and settled into a nice room overlooking the main square of the town. Pepe Alvarez and his wife went out of their way to help us and their cousin Michael, who has great english, took us under his wing and toured us about with a bit of the history of the town thrown in. We had a very good stay here. It is easy to find and close to the main attractions of the town.

Comfort in a Small Town
Reviewed By ndserWe stayed for 1-night at Hotel La Frangua II in Trevelez (€75). While located at the top of a small Spanish village, the hotel was not that difficult to find. The first trick was to ignore the GPS – it led us into tiny, very steep dead-end lanes. Simply drive up the main road (it is an easy 2-lane) to the T-intersection at the very top. The left leads to a bridge across the river and on to Pampaneira. The right leads immediately to a small plaza – there is a small sign at the end saying the hotel is a further 150 m. We parked and walked to find the hotel's exact location, then came back to drive the car through the final narrow lanes – no problem. The hotel is a long 2-floor building with all of the rooms facing the valley. Ours, although dated, was large & comfortable, with a 2-single beds pushed together, side tables, a small desk & chair, 2 upholstered chairs & small table with coffee supplies, an odd looking couch that could serve as an extra bed, tiny TV, large closet, but no mini-refrigerator or safe. The bathroom was large, with a small vanity, and a bathtub/shower. There was a large deck facing the valley, with a couple of chairs and table, a nice spot for an afternoon drink. I didn't see any heat controls, but there was radiant heating from the floors that kept the room cozy during our rather chilly visit. The hotel had a nice pool overlooking the valley, unfortunately closed in the cool weather. La Frangua offered a good breakfast and also owned a restaurant just down the street that served an excellent, reasonably priced selection of local delicacies. We didn't see much of the town – places were mostly closed this early in the season – but it struck me as a pleasant one to explore. In summary, a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel in a pleasant small town if traveling the mountain route between Granada and Nerja and looking for something a bit different.

Tranquilo, limpio y con muy buen servicio.
Reviewed By Roam12150798875Nos hemos hospedado dos noches con desayuno. Nos tocó habitación en la segunda planta con terraza (azotea). La habitación limpia con cama grande y a pesar de refrescar bastante calentita. Al estar en la azotea teníamos un balcón enorme con mesas para tomar algo (siempre que el cuerpo lo aguante) Por la mañana el desayuno perfecto la camarera nos atiende en mesa bebida y pan con chacinas de la zona (café de maquina de bar no capsulas) Todo perfecto tanto como desayuno como limpieza de las habitaciones. Hotel muy tranquilo ya que la mayoría de huéspedes madrugan para hacer rutas.

Muy mejorables las cabañas
Reviewed By gosantodCogimos una cabaña unos días y hay muchas cosas a mejorar...y más con el precio. Calidad precio muy mala. Poco acogedora, para nuestro gusto. Los interruptores de los focos a desmano y altos, en la cama no había enchufes ni interruptores a mano. Calidad muy normalita de la estructura en general. El baño tenía pérdidas y había toallas en la parte de atrás, para sujetar tuberías, teniendo que cortar y abrir el agua para llenar la cisterna. En resumen, poco acogedor. Los baños privados muy muy mejorables, muy básicos y viejos, con falta de varios arreglos.
