The hotel is inexpensive, clean, has decent internet, and has a pretty good restaurant attached. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The food and wine in the attached restaurant are good. It's certainly not a luxury resort but was more than adequate for a business trip. I've stayed here on several trips over the past ten years,

A pleasant surprise and discovery to find such a well located and comfortable accommodation in this picturesque, sprawling little seaside resort. Reta has so far been largely off the beaten track and unspoiled by over development, with a charm of colourful tree lined dirt avenues, 30 kilometers of wide open beaches , sand dunes with coastal vegetation and offering the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets, peace and relaxation. Facilities in town are basic, though there are a couple of restaurants, including one called ROMA, which gives discounts for the hotel guests but with sufficient butchers shops and mini supermarkets to meet self catering requirements, which is just as well as Club de Mar Terrazas Cayasta doesn't provide meals, not even breakfast, so best to come prepared with provisions for arrival date (it is a 600 kilometer drive from Buenos Aires and 89 killometers from Tres Arroyos). We had some difficulty in confirming a reservation, giving the impractical requirement to make an advance bank transfer of 40% of the total stay, which may be understandable in high season but seems unnecessarily off putting (especially for foreign tourists) in low season when we were travelling. In the end we took the chance and booked on the day of arrival (when banks were closed) and could still choose the room of our choice, a Luxury Plus, with an excellent view of the sea also from the terrace , a separate upstairs bedroom (with even better view) and two sofa beds on the ground floor. The room had a fully equipped kitchen with glasses, plates and cutlery and an outside barbecue facility. Make sure though you don't break anything - there is a hefty replacement charge in accordance with an itemised price list provided in the room welcome pack! While not our case, if any guest has a mobility issue, certain rooms can involve difficult stair climbs and the steep descent to the beach can be physically challenging but all the natural beauty of surrounding environment can be enjoyed from the hotel itself, without having to move away. The room was well cleaned, though the savage winds experienced during our stay meant that that the pool area and room terrace were invaded by sand, but quickly cleared away. We had a couple of maintenance issues, involving blinds not closing properly and a noisy ceiling fan, issues quickly resolved by the attentive reception personnel, with special mention for Myra and Ezequiel, who provided every assistance when required during our stay. There are spa facilities, a heated indoor and outdoor pool though the latter lacked umbrellas to provide necessary shade.
