Plava voda, translated as the Blue Water, is an exquisite restaurant in Travnik, situated in an amazing place, near the small river. The food which is served here is pretty amazing, having in mind the fact that the restaurant's cuisine is locally based. What divides this from the other restaurants in Travnik, and in Bosnia, generally speaking, is the location and the service. Both are on a high level scale. Nothing more should be said about it, you should definitely visit it by yourself, you won't regret it!

Having just arrived in travnik, I asked a local guy for a recommendation for food. I wanted a local place but good quality. He recommended the corba. I chose the chicken chorba and it was excellent. Unless you are really hungry as I was then you won't need anything else. For a main course I chose the tegara or degara which is steak, mushrooms, onions etc in a thick sauce. It was absolutely amazing.
I am so glad I don't have a restaurant like this near my home, because if I did I would be extremely fat !!!

The best cevapcici in town - don't miss it ! Pleasant place, clean, traditional and yet modern settings, always many visitors so sometime may be necessary to wait a little to get a free place. I had their cevapcici and sudzukice (meat lumps and sausages).

Lutvina Kahva (Lutvo's Cafe) featured in Ivo Andrić's "Travnik Chronicle" novel. It sits at the end of the fast streem called Plave Vode (Blue waters) that come from beneath the hill where Travnik fortress is located.
They have outside shack where all food is prepared so you will be amazed by smell of BBQ. Make sure that you look at the orders as there are 6 different sizes of cevapi order (one with 20 pieces). In the middle of the patio there is a Fountain that waiters use to fill with glass of water. I am assuming it is connected to the nearby stream, as water is very cold when it is served to the table.
Food tastes great, and is very inexpensive, even for Bosnian standard. Wait staff is polite, quick and attentive. This establishment doesn't serve alcohol.

We stop at this fish pond/restaurant on our way back to Sarajevo from Travnik. Our guide recommend here. It was a very clean place and the staff was so kind. We had fish soup, grilled fish and some dessert there. The fish was the best...MoreThank you Guliz for your review... I hope you will come to Bosnia and our restaurant again soon... Greetings from Travnik...

Combining a warm and welcoming atmosphere with excellent food is the success of this place. As everywhere in Bosnia the servings are huge and much of the options on the menu is perfect for sharing among a group of friends.
Downstairs there's a small shop selling some of the local delicacies on offer on the menu.
