This is a really good restaurant that serves good Italian food as well as Romanian food. The lemon chicken is just delicious. We ate at Capriccio Bistro every night for 5 nights because it was the nearest restaurant to our hotel. We could have easily gone somewhere else but the menu is varied enough to cope. The staff were very kind and helpful. We donât speak a word of Romanian but they spoke English (and other languages). Andrei, Silvie and Tatiana were particularly good at interpreting our wishes and looking after us. We celebrated our wedding anniversary while we were in Cluj and they went out of their way to add to our evening. Thank you all.

If youâre in the mood for an off the beaten track Italian restaurant, this is a chance not to miss.Hidden behind the courthouse, yet only a hundred yards from the National Theatre, this is the most laid-back, friendly restaurant Iâve experienced in Cluj.Their menu is quite big, accommodating almost all tastes in international cuisine, but I recommend the Italian courses. I must have been there over a dozen times and each dinner has been a delight. The setting is simple, cosy and âhomyâ but as the old, carefully-renovated cellar is rather small, you may want to book in advance. One of the highlights at Osteria is, of course, the wine: their own, professional sommelier carefully sources wines from Romania but also Italy, France, South America. The wine list is impressive, so if youâre confused by the wide choice, just ask for a recommendation and youâll get the best match to your food.

Sorriso is a small bistro born from our passion for Italy, with its people and its beautiful music, but especially for Italian cuisine. A cozy place, with smiling people waiting to tell you the story behind every dish cooked here. We cook for your pleasur
I usually come here for lunch with coworkers. The restaurant offers a daily lunch, with 3 choices for main course, as the soup is on the house.I have tried a couple of their dishes, I have mostly always enjoyed the food served here. I can recommend their Pollo alla Parmigiana(Chicken with Parmesan crust), Penne Quattro Formaggi, Risotto. The only dishes I cannot recommend are the Pasta Bolognese and Tomato Soup. The meat used for them was clearly from a can, and it was cut in cubes and had a bit of sauce put over it. Quite horrible. The tomato soup, from the taste, it was just bored out of a can as well and seasoned a bit. But these were the only 2 dishes I disliked.Even though the place is packed during lunch, the staff are quite efficient and fast in their service. We don't usually have to wait long for them to take our order. It's also nice that they have an open kitchen and you can see the cooks making your food.In general, the place does serve great food, but there are a few instances when they might fail. The dishes are usually priced fairly, but they do have some more expensive dishes in my opinion, like the duck or seafood ones.

Union Square, until you get to the core, get 5 bars and several terraces. Then stop in front of a place March doors wide open and that flows out of a waltz electric heated in a warm and golden light. Nuka Bistro puts his hand on the heart and heart on the
Sat down for a quick evening bite. The service was good and friendly, but the schnitzel and wedges were below expectations - literally taken out of the freezer and cooked; I could have prepared that with stuff from the supermarket. The cocktail was good, but the place needs to up their food asap!

Small Italian eatery, guided by the saying "La cucina piccola fa la casa grande! Home made pasta, desserts, bakery and a wide range of artisanal Italian cheeses and charcuterie.
It's so sad the treatment by a few waiters can be disheartening, but Da Pino really is an awful experience for foreigners, especially if you are accompanied by 'coloured' friends or family. We went twice in two years to Da Pino, once because we were invited to the opening reception during the film festival, and the waiter was so angry at the sight of (well dressed, polite, but brown skin tonned) guests, that he pushed us into an inside corner under an air vent, which was so hot during the summer heat that nobody was able to stay, and politely stood outside and ordered some Gin's that our friend had mixed for the restaurant that night. A year later we went back, under the promise it was a good restaurant, and assuming it was a one off. We saw the same waiter, a mid 30s dark haired guy, joking with his (local) friends. There was one table outside he reluctantly gave us, removing the 'reserved' sign (that they place on all tables). We waited about 15minutes to order... he stared a few times but ignored, 15 turned into 40 minutes, when finally an organiser of the film festival (who was sat at the table next to us) yelled something, and pointed to us - ie: take their order. We did finally, and the experience just turned into an ordeal we don't want to remember. This kind of place really is a disgrace...

Just had dinner at âA Camponezaâ. Been lucky enough to be there on a relatively quiet night, just a few scattered tables occupied, but reservations would be recommended.Besides their particularly huge sea food skewers (which were delicious) I have tasted the best red tuna steak I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, tasty. My advice is to taste it as is, before using any of the sauces that accompany the dish. You might not want to spoil it. The service was prompt and always with a smile, the complementary Porto Wine in the end was a nice touch.Speaking of wines, they have a wide selection of Portuguese wines, but you should try Vino Verde, which is specific exclusively to this country (it is a kind of proseco light wine, but it goes great with sea food and fish).
