This is a hidden gem of Sibiu. The place is brought to life by the chef and owner, Sami, under the name of Consommè. I found many bistros/restaurants along the romanian path, none as culinary impressive as this one. It is a culinary delight in so many ways, the atmosphere is perfect, the crew experienced/joyful, the food innovative and the thing that I like the most is that you always see the kitchen and know whoâs preparing your food: Sami.
We went here for dinner on a Monday. The service was good, and we liked the food very much. I had some pork ribs with chips and my wife some penne carbonara, both very good.but the thing I liked the most, it just mesmerized me was the view up to the evangelical cathedral, with the sun setting behind us. It was simply superb...

We were on the move in Sibiu and spotted this gem tucked away in the corner of the square. The waitresses and chef were so welcoming and helpful. We were shown to a seating area downstairs and within the blink of an eye supplied with our chosen dish....it was wonderful. Great price, great place and fantastic food! Thanks so much...

Been here Saturday night with my wife and 4 of our friends. The place is relatively in the centre part of the city, easy to find. First impression was nice even dough as soon as you enter a smell of foodnhits you beacose of the open kitchen. the waiter sat us down. After 10 minutes he came back for the order. I want to mention that the restaurant was full, and for the duration of the dinner I saw only 2 waiters. this is outrageous, the owners in Romania are thinking only about money. Please stop exploiting people like this. Even dough the conditions were tough, the waiter was prompt, nice and professional. He came back with the drinks order fast. The food looked nice. The pizzas were big and tasty. I had a sea food platter wich you can see in the picture. it was tasty but for the price, it seemed a little bit poor. It's just a mix of sea food that you can find in thou local supermarket. We could say that we enjoyed our food and service, all and all it was a nice experience. Before I forget. They also need to be more strict with people smoking. Smoking it's not permitted indoors in Romania. Someone of the guest cheet by using vaporizers or regular cigarets with some kind of filters. It's very unpleasant and disrespectful for the non smoking people in the restaurant. The waiters or the owners should do something about it, invite these people outside.

We had a very nice meal and enjoyed it very much. The pizza is large enough for at least two people. The grilled veggies and mamaliga were also very tasty. All around a 5 star experience.

Rather than go to the restaurants, bars and cafes in Piata Mare, Piata Mica or Strada Nicolae Balcescu, we went down the steps next to Podul Minciunilor and walked a few yards along Strada Ocnei to get to Pizzeria Pomodore. On a busy Friday afternoon when there were both the "Artmania" rock festival and a rally car meeting in the centre of town, we were rewarded with good pizza at much cheaper prices and without having to wait to be seated, to have our order taken or to be served.I had a pizza with fresh spinach, tomatoes and garlic (not on the menu on their website, which is shorter than the actual menu in the restaurant) and my partner had a "pizza vulcan" with spicy salami, fresh mushrooms, red onion and a fried egg. Both were filling and tasty, the sauce being better than the usual diluted ketchup that many Romanian pizzeria use, the bases being thinner and crispier than the norm here and the cheese was not too salty either. All in all, the pizzas were pretty good, the prices were much less than the tourist trap places with terraces outside and the service was good too -all for walking a couple of hundred yards.

Seafood, pasta, pizza, salads or the delicious deserts cooked in house, combined with a wide selection of carefully chosen wines cand be savoured in an authentic Italian decor, in the center of Sibiu.
We had good service, and low prices. nice location, sitting and watching people go by. Food quality was good, although quite small portions. The restrooms should be kept more clean. One of my pleasant lunches in Sibiu.

Located in the very heart of Sibiu's historical district, overlooking the Astra Park and County Library, Capsicum is the perfect venue for tourists and locals alike who seek to enjoy fresh, high-quality food at reasonable prices in a cosy and friendly atm
A small family run restaurant off the beaten path. Only a few tables so a reservation is recommended. The menu changes daily. We had a taboleh and pear salad, beetroot salad and a shrimp with mild curry. I would say this place is a fusion of traditional Romanian and middle eastern. All we can say for sure us it was a delight to eat there. Might have spent 120lei

Yesterday we went 6 persons, including a 4 years old child to have dinner at Max. We arrived at 5:30pm there and we ordered quickly because we were very hungry. We were announced that the person who made pizza, will arrive in 20 minutes, so our order will last 30 minutes, we will get our food at 6:30pm. At 6:30 pm the waiter came and told us that the cook didnât arrived after an hour late. We waited another 15 minutes and we left.So at almost 7 pm we left the restaurant hungry and with a child asking for pizza, crying. The experience was horrible for the second time!! We usually go there at least once a week but this was our last time! Distinti saluti.Colonna Gianfranco

Tango Restaurant & Pub is the place in Sibiu where the foods dances on your tongue.
The outside was full and they set up a couple more tables so that we and others could dine. The menu is quite large for this small place. We had mushroom and spinach cream soup which were thick and creamy, plus well presented. My wife had a vegetable salad, which had quite a bit of iceberg lettuce. I had tortellini with a nice creamy parmasean sauce and a bit too much cubed ham. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was perfect. An enjoyable evening.
