The restaurant is always full since the food is authentic and very good. Itâs a real Romanian cuisine . Itâs a restaurant where the Romanian people like to eat and not a touristic place. The service is very good and the prices are not expensive at all.Thank you! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the time spent in our restaurant. Looking forward to welcome you back! :)

If you want to eat in an elegant location you should try Flora. Good food, very tasty, good selection of wine, very very polite and funny staff, nice location near Bega river. They have a terrace in the summer. Romanian, Italian and international food. Average prices.
I had lunch with my brother a few days ago on this place, place was empty when we arrived. It's located at Hotel Vanilla but they have a terrace accesible through an entry on the left side of the Hotel. Seeing all the good reviews I had high hopes of finding some very nice Restaurant, maybe even some fine dining dishes. I orderded the Trubot fish (18 lei per 100g) but the waiter informed us the fish had 1kg so much to big for one person, not sure why they don't put this info in the menu. So second choice was the Sea Bass on salt (22 lei per 100g) which sounded pretty fancy but it actually wasn't anything spectacular. Plating was average at best, fish was fine but again nothing too fancy, the skin which is actually my favourite part was ruined by the salt and the fish skin had scales which I guess it's normal as skin was not meant to be eaten. Still, one very easy dish and one pretty expensive one at 66 lei. The Baked Potatoes (9 lei) were pretty average and had not much taste so definitely one dissapointing dish, was expecting more for a 75 lei portion. I tasted also my brother's pasta Linguini with Shrips & Squid and it was not bad but I was expecting better since they were pretty expensive at 56 lei, they didn't had any sauce and also no parmesan cheese, however shrips and squid were pretty good, properly cooked. We also had dessert: Chocolate souffle with ice cream (also maybe a bit expensive at 28 lei) which was actually pretty good, we both liked the icea cream, felt home made and also te Chocolate souffle was very good cooked, I recommend you try it. Overall, the lunch was kind of disappointing, service was ok but not very attentive, he went missing for some time, also I found the prices a bit too high for what we got. Worst thing was the check at the end as the pasta was in the bill listed at 68 lei vs the 56 lei listed in the menu, too bad we only noticed this after we left the place, such a mistake is unacceptable in my book, hence the one star review, otherwhise my rating would have been 3.3 / 5 stars.

Restaurant Caruso has a menu inspired from international cuisines.
We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day here and had a lovely dinner. Prices have gone up a bit since last time we went but food is still very good. Plating is different, not bad but used to like it better before and also there are no more edible flowers so maybe they changed the chef.I had the Rabbit (85 lei) and my wife the Sea Bass (81 lei), both really good, perfectly cooked. We also had Opera (30 lei) for dessert but was not very impressed, wasn't bad but not amazing. Overall, still one of the best Restaurant in the city but also one of the most expensive ones.

In 2017 I had good experience with this restaurant in the brewery so I decided to pay another visit when visiting Timisoara city again. The landlord of my accommodation warned me that their friends had to pay an unexpectedly significant bill and was not satisfied, but i did not follow her advice to avoid the place. Once we arrived, i noticed, the scene was changed, some walls removed, and the place did not look as cosy as before, but alright, letâs try.First the waiters ignored us for long, though there were many of them chitchatting at the bar. Then they managed to bring us menus, only in Romanian, and with some pages missing. Then they ignored us again for a long time, I had to go an fetch the waiters. They were giving ugly looks in exchange. Then they did not have the beers we ordered, then it turned out, the 1st page was missing from most of the menus, which presented the good price tap beers, so you thought you could only choose from the list of bottled more expensive beers. On request they could also bring those beers, but we only learnt about them after we placed ordersâ¦The whole situation and the ignorance of the waiters / waitresses was so annoying, that we decided to look for another restaurant , luckily we found a good Serbian restaurant (called Dinar) with great food and excellent service.

We had lunch there and even if it was overpriced we were expecting good food. Unfortunately, it was average. People looking at t.v. Always, there's nothing related to local or rustic experience.

Casa Bunicii has lot to offer in terms of local cuisine, traditional food and traditional cooking technique. We produce almost everything in house and we don't use any artificial or ready made ingredients. Our interior is designed in a warm and homy way.
Overall, we found Casa Bunicii to be average. Given it high ratings, it did not meet our expectations. We found the quality of our selections to be variable. Some were very good - others not so much. The ones that did not meet our expectations were hot entrees that arrived lukewarm or cool. One member of our party raised this issue with the manager. The manager vigorously stated all entrees were served hot. The service was average. The outdoor setting was very nice especially on a hot July evening. The gently breeze also offered us relief from nearby smokers. The space is very family friendly. We found pricing to be average for Romania.

Despite a written reservation we were rudely thrown out of the restaurant with the comment that only phone reservations are excepted. The staff didn't try to cope with their mistake as we showed the written confirmation, but mainly blamed us.Never again and also my colleague will advise his company to not use this restaurant anymore for evening entertainment of their customers.
