The food is very good here. They are well known for their bake stuff haddock dinner plate. Stuffing they use is very tasty and not all crackers, has good portion of seafood in it. Staff is very friendly and make you feel very welcome for coming. Food service on bar side can be slow if short staffed.

There is NO comparison between the PROCESSED Taste of Dunkin Donuts and the Home style Freshness and small town flavor of Gourmet Donuts (Townsend, Leominster, Fitchburg, Winchendon etc) Really Really Good Donuts ! Apricot is my Fave and Iced Coffee like a zillion flavors but I like Banana Iced Coffee, really who ever heard of such a thing. I highly recommend this place and the friendly girls that service it. Keep up the Great Work !!!! Forget about Dunks and Try here..You'll be hooked like me !!!! They even have chicken salad at least they used too that was really good for a quick lunch !!!

The Ice Cream Factory is a window service spot tucked in behind Michele Goodwin's School of Dance. There are many delicious flavors to choose from and they really pile it on the cone! I asked for a small and got 2 heaping scoops of delicious, creamy decadence. They also have fried foods and other choices that we have not tried. It is a good spot for people watching while you devour your icy treats.!

Who knew that an outpost Italian restaurant, that started as aTexaco station, could rival the North End? While the prices may seem a bit steep, the ample portions and quality keep the locals coming back.

A unique combination of Greek, Italian and American cuisine in a cozy country setting.
We LOVE Chrysanthi's for brunch, lunch, dinner and they also did a fantastic job catering my husband's surprise birthday party. Spanakopita is a favorite, but their steak tips are my husband's favorite and pizza is unforgettable. Everything is fresh and homemade. You will not be...MoreThank you for your kind words. We appreciate the feedback and promise to do our best to live up to your expectation and never disappoint you.

The vegetables were fresh and crisp, the pad thai had a nice combination of peanuts, shrimp, and chicken. The service was friendly and prompt, and the decorations were fun to look at. I especially enjoyed the sunflowers out front - those will be spectacular in a month.

The Bull Run in Shirley, MA is a full service, farm-to-table restaurant and concert venue housed in an historic Tavern & open Wed-Sun for lunch & dinner. Our menus change seasonally and we have a full bar including local brews on tap. We have two concert rooms, one seating 300 & another seating 65 and we feature national & regional acts across every genre of music as well as stand up comedy. Come for appetizers, a full dinner, brunch, lunch, pizza or dessert. We make everything from scratch, buy from the local family farms of Central New England & support the local community. Don't miss the legendary Egopantis who sees all from his perch above our back-to-back fireplaces!
We had a great wedding at the bull run. It was one of the best days of our lives! We only have a couple things we truly wished would have been addressed so we could have given this venue a better rating. The staff at Bull Run was unprofessional on the day of our wedding, and we felt like we had been financially taken advantage of. We had tried to pay our final dues the night before (so we wouldn't have to worry on our day) but the cashier at the front couldn't figure out what we owed, so we left and had to do it on our day. We specifically told Amanda we didn't want liquor at our open bar, in the contract, in person, MULTIPLE times. Of course, after our ceremony we come inside and discover everyone has been drinking liquor at the open bar for the past hour and a half. $600 worth of our tab. We were extremely distressed and Amanda didn't apologize or even act surprised. Furthermore her staff gave us attitude when we informed them of their mistake. We were not reimbursed for this and it ate up our bar tab. We also told amanda in writing AND in person that we were doing a $1000 open bar. We told her to let us know when it reached that amount and we would decide then if we would increase the amount. She never approached us. At the end of the night we had a bar tab of $2000. We were angry and upset but we paid our bill because who wants to argue a tab at the end of their wedding night? Again- we had an extraordinary wedding with our family and friends, largely in part to the beautiful setting and delicious food. It was unfortunate that were taken advantage of by having our bar tab ran up twice as much, and the professionalism of the staff and management of the Bull Run were extremely lacking. Because of this, we would not be comfortable recommending this venue to friends or family.

So this spot is a bit out of the way, definitely a bit of a destination. You need to call ahead for seated reservations, which was notably not easy the week between Christmas and New Year's. They had three lunch options this week: 11:30, 12:45, and 2. We got in for the 2 PM meal, and arrived about 15 minutes before. A few slight negatives first: there isn't much room for those waiting for the seating to wait. You end up crammed in a tiny room with the woman fielding the calls as you wait for the seating bell - everyone gets seated together, only once the last group has finished, departed, and been cleaned up after. They also don't seem to be great at keeping to time. We had reservations at 2 and were not called in to our tables until just after 2:30... which seemed a bit much. That aside, the experience was great. The old houses have the small dining rooms, a Christmas shop in the very back, and a small herb and gift shop next door, with all manner of novelties and gifts. A fun spot to poke around while waiting on the dining bell!
The meal itself was delicious, and varies by the month. The dining room itself is a pleasant casual atmosphere, and service is prompt and friendly. You get two entree options each month and the rest of the menu is set. Our meal (December) started with a warm brie appetizer with crackers, which we enjoyed while getting drinks. I opted for the warm spiced tea, which was delicious and plenty warming to counteract the cold outside. We then got a nice hearty vegetable soup, then one of the best salads I've had in a long time (fresh pears and candied walnuts), and then hot freshly buttered pretzel rolls. I opted for the meat entree, which was the braised beef over a savory bread pudding - both the bread pudding and the sliced tender beef were delicious - and then ended the meal with two gingersnaps and chocolate orange mousse. Spectacular meal all around, and excited to try future months!

This place is an establishment, my parents went here when they were kids, I've been going here for over 50 years and it is still great. Originally started by a physician, the quality hasn't changed one bit. Good selection, good value and great ice cream, plain and simple.

Went there with a friend. Nothing fancy but the food was excellent. Honestly can't pronounce either meal, let alone spell them, but we split our dishes and both of them were great. I fi ished with a Vietnamese iced coffee, best iced coffee I've ever had.
