We visited Le Saint Gabriel for lunch (6 adults) and had an amazing meal!
The food is delicious and the portions are huge!
The octopus which is the house speciality was a huge hit (I couldn't finish it)! The Parillada de Poissons was also popular, as was the Angus Beef.
Desserts were tasty too - particularly the rum baba.
We had two bottles of wine (one red, one white) which both went down very well.
The restaurant was busy so I'd recommend booking a table in advance.
The staff very friendly and welcoming.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

BISTRONOMIE - PRODUITS LOCAUX ET BIO ( Légumes, Viandes, Boissons sucrées, Vins etc ...) - PROPOSITION VÉGÉTARIENNE - TOUT FAIT MAISON DEPUIS 2008
We wanted to host a dinner with customers, and asked our hotel concierge for a non-tourist restaurant with good food. Nos Amis was a great suggestion for our dinner!
We sat on an outdoor Terrace (the indoor dining area was small, and with beautiful weather no one was seated inside), under umbrellas. The tables were casual style (no white table cloths), and the ambiance was relaxed.
The food was excellent, and the service was good, allowing us to take our time. We had Starters, Entrees and Dessert, and everything was enjoyable. The wine list was not extensive, but the wines offered were great!

We went to this restaurant with a couple of friends.. Excellent and personalized service done by the young lady owner.
We had the menu of the day and that is fun to try new home made specialties.
Desert, a red fruit crumble was excellent.
All dishes are home made and fresh..we enjoyed!

Dinner on Easter Saturday with every seat in the restaurant taken and a small staff sounds like trouble but in fact was an absolute delight.
Small but perfectly formed restaurant, with very special food that really had massive taste sensations.
Wonderful staff, family run restaurant. Full of both French and foreign visitors, including a party of eight who loved everything as much as we did.
42 euro set menu, combined with a superb bottle of wine for 45 euro, made for a great dinner. Loved it.
You will only find this restaurant if you are looking for it, and there are plenty of ordinary places close to it that are best avoided. Seek it out and you will be very pleasantly surprised.
Whether visiting Toulon for the rugby or just for the food, make sure you visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Place is cozy and with a nice athmosphere.
We had a beef and suize cheese fondue and profiteroles as dessert. We drunk wine and beer, we spent around 60€. Everything was delicious. The service was good too. The staff was always available to answer our dubts. I would go there again with no hesitation

Being on a cruise with 12 hours or less in a port usually means spending some time in advance to finding good out of the way quirky and interesting places to sample local cuisine without the usual restaurant hawkers shouting at you in multiple languages serving everything to everyone.
Well here is one place where we literally happened to be standing under the awning to get out of the rain when I opened my trip advisor app to find us a place to eat while the rain stopped - 1st place that popped up "near me" and was in the top 5 was L'Aparte and there we were standing under its awning. The owner was just coming out to open for the day.. What luck - so we went in to dry off and get something to eat. Reviews were really spot on. The owners husband and wife team told us they prepare 5 menu items per day to keep it fresh and manageable since they source everything from the local markets. Place is small maybe seats 20 inside. Food was fresh, very flavorful and wonderfully prepared. The host and staff were incredibly friendly, it really felt like sitting in someones home with the warm homey and quirky atmosphere of the place. Would easily recommend to friends and family.

You don't find too many Tahitian restaurants around and, one street back from the busy waterfront restaurants, this place was a wonderful surprise. It's small, with a short menu. We tried four dishes including the wahi-wahi and salade Tahitiene, and all were delicious. The owner is very friendly, service fast, and the Hinano beers brought back memories of the South Seas.

We discovered this restaurant during a visit to Toulon last year and made sure we booked again on this visit. It was well worth it. Celine made us very welcome and the food was just as we remembered. Excellent. We had a fantastic evening, everyone enjoyed their choices and had a good time. We will return again next year.

Down town Toulon, nearby "place Puget" A friendly place, with good food Attention to details regarding the decoration 2 outdoor: a regular one in front of the restaurant and a very "frenchy" one in back, like a small French village, with colorful tables and flags. One rule: the customer is very important to me. I want him to spend a wonderful time in my restaurant
My husband and I came to Toulon for a week and found this little gem ! The 'plat du jour' blinis burger d'andouillette and its mustard sauce was just to die for. This really made us feel in France ! The service was warm and the owner, Jean-Marc, was extremely friendly which is not always the case in all french restaurants ! If we ever stop by Toulon again, we'll be sure to come back.
