What a cracker! Being going for 50 years. Takeaway does a huge trade. if you want to eat on the few stone table outside get there early! Just good honest food. Succulent chicken plus choice of accompaniments. Cheap as chips. Great sangria seems to be sold only by the litre - so watch it you're driving. A great local experience. 50 years of service tell you all you need to know.

Restaurante y Pizzería italiana
We stay nearby and my husband insists on buying pizzas to take away more often than I would like to, just because of proximity. Each time I say the same, it's not terrible, but it's not good either. The ingredients are thrown on top carelessly and not cooked. I have been to the south of Italy and have seen this done in this way, but this place doesn't use the necessary quality of ingredients or cooking skills to do that and succeed. So each time I end up "completing" the cooking of my pizza in the oven. Finally my husband seems to have agreed with me that it's not worth the time or the money, and we haven't returned.
One night, we were passing by, and we decided to sit in, at the Terrace. It was completely overcrowded. It was a little late as well, so we asked politely if it was still OK to get a table and they said yes but moaned, and then ignored us while seated. I called a waiter over and said, if it wasn't fine to sit down for dinner at this time, you could have said and it wouldn't have been a problem. The place was load, too full of people speaking at the top of their voice, kids running around, waiters rushing about, anything but relaxing. Very stressful in fact. In the end, and for the first time (having been a regular customer of their take away), the pizzas were decently cooked and we enjoyed them, but the irregular food and really stressful environment really doesn't pay off. Since we have better choices in the area, we've become regular customers of other restaurants that deserve it more.

After a lovely afternoon at the beach we came to this restaurant based on the tripadvisor reviews. The location was perfect, service was impeccable and the food superb. Only slightly more expensive than the average beach taverna, if it all, but the food and service were far better than usual. If we are even remotely close to Torredembarra we will be back and to be honest, it may even be worth a special trip just to eat there again.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and most tables were booked so I recommend booking a table. The waiters were super friendly and helpful and their recommendations regarding to food and wine were all excellent. We started with a tasty Stak Tartar (probably the best I have ever had) and the artichokes form the grill. Then we shared the entrecote with potatoes and grilled veggies. The waiter recommended a wine which was perfect with our meal. For dessert we had Mató served on fig jam with fruit. Delicious and very light. In the end we paid around 90€. It wasn't a cheap meal but it was absolutely worth the money.

Superb location directly on the beach. The food looked a little tired but my fantastically able and beautiful companion managed to get the kitchen to produce an acceptable level of clams in sherry, fried anchovies and a house salad. No local Tarragona wines but we managed to finish a bottle of drink able white from Penedès. Prices are too high for the quality but the location commands a Premium.

We were tempted to visit this restaurant for lunch as it had a distinctive menu del dia and was particularly well patronised by local people. Indeed, it was one of busiest in Tarragona at the time. The well presented menu del dia was uncompromisingly Spanish. The service was friendly and efficient. Very good value. A gem.

We dined twice at Lola Tapes and found it to be delicious food. Frequented mostly by locals, it was full both nights, and we weren't a bit surprised. Ingredients were fresh and treated respectfully. Presentation was attractive without being silly. Salads and vegetables are a strong suit, but everything is good, including desserts. Had we stayed in Tarragona longer, we would have returned again.

This restaurant belongs to the Hotel Gran Claustre. It is very close to another small restaurant called Las Bruixes and reviewers are getting the two mixed up so reviews for this place are put under the original Las Bruixes. They are very different in style, price and ambience. Having eaten at both it would be a shame for people to confuse the two.
Lovely ambiance, nicely spaced tables and friendly staff; off to a good start! My wife and I both ordered the lobster menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was a mix of modern and traditional and very well cooked and presented. The recommended wine was...MoreDear guest, Thanks for your kind opinion in Tripadvisor. Spacious Restaurant In First Line Beach With Sea Views. Restaurant With Capacity For 150 Sitting Persons Terrace With Capacity For 100 People
While in Torredembarra we used to go to La Quilla, which is still listed in the TripAdvisor restaurant of Torredembarra but now closed by almost a year. We loved that place for their “arroz com bogavante”. The first time we went there in 2010, it blew our minds but this time we had to find an alternative as my lovely one, from Brasil, after few days without rice has serious sign of rice withdrawal and she loves the “bogavante” preparation. The place is large and very well located on the beach front. This is also an historical place with many recurring customers as I read the reviews including a friend of mine who has an apartment few meters (or yards for US) away. We were there for dinner. With our surprise there were very few customers considering we were in mid-August while the crowd passing-by the beach front walkway was quite large. Maybe it was just a sign of the pervading European economic crisis. As we were sitting I heard a patron with his family complaining about the quality of the food that “was not like it used to be”. He was a long time Spanish customers spending his vacation in Torredembarra. Not a good start. The manager however handled the situation with class, listening to the specifics of the complaint and profusely apologizing for the “accident”.
Well, maybe we had the same experience. Of course being our first time there we could not compare with prior experience. If this would have been our first restaurant in Spain it would have been an OK one. No WOW factor but a decent meal. However being accustom to very good restaurants and knowing how good the Spanish cuisine can be combined with the high expectation set by Reading the reviews, we were a little disappointed. Maybe it was just a bad day and for sure we will give them another chance.

Cocina argentina/mediterranea de mercado-parrilla y carne Argentina fresca & arroces,especialidades,postres especialisimos caseros!
As the title says, Cal Coco was nice but not amazing. We had previously read some brilliant reviews on TripAdvisor and thought we should give it a go whilst in Torredembarra - there was nothing wrong with this place the service was good and the chef recommended dishes which was helpful, the food was nice but not the best we had. I would recommend but the prices are higher than other surrounding restaurants.
