Tribal Terenife still shows influence from the aboriginal Gaunches people. Visitors clamber to conquer Mount Teide (Spain’s tallest peak) and to stretch out on the sands of Los Gigantes. Squawk hello to the playful parrots of Loro Park, or brave the petrifying drive to beautiful Masca Valley. For a true taste of Terenife, sample fresh farmhouse cheese and local bananas. A piece of delicate calado canario lace makes a special souvenir.

In the heart of the countryside, the slopes of La Hollera, in Sauzal, offer visitors a unique experience: a journey of the sense to discover the Canary Island wine growing tradition through its memories, its landscapes, its cuisine and its culture. Guided tours, tasting or good food workshops, the chance to taste wines and traditional dishes, artistic events in the outstanding Monje Cultural Space, etc.
We went for the wine & fell in love with the food. From the assortment of fresh breads & jams to our scrambled eggs with jamón Serrano overlooking the vineyards & the Atlantic Ocean...this is the brunch of your dreams. The menu offers brunch options paired with your choice of the local wines.???????? If possible, make a reservation—we just happened to get lucky.

Local winery founded in 1947 situated 1300 metres above sea level. The varieties of grapes that we use for making our wines are perfectly adapted to the climate, altitude and the needs of organic farming. We offer wine tastings on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 12.30 or 15.30 hours. It is neccesary to book as the tour lasts about 1 - 1 hour 30mins. Tours are usually in spanish or english. Transport is not provided. There is a local bus that stops outside the Bodega, but check times as it not often. Alternatives are rent a car or taxi (negotiate a price beforehand).
We where on a Tiede by night tour a stop at the Bodega for a meal was part of the trip. Donna the hostess was very professional I have celiacs disease, she made sure everything was gluten free. Excellent meal very nice surroundings staff cheerful and pleasant. Would definitely go another time apart from on a trip. White House wine excellent. Well done Tiede tours for finding this excellent stop.

This vineyard is amazing, the owner is so welcoming and his dogs are adorable. As soon as we pulled up it looked stunning and when we walked further the place where we tasted the wine was full of all the oak barrels, the wine is the best on the island. I would highly recommend not only for the taste of the wine but also of how welcoming the owner is.

Frontos is a Canarian winery that produces quality wines, white and red, with native grapes, typical of the Canary Islands. Our wines are made with grapes from the highest vineyard in Europe, at 1700 meters above sea level. In Frontos we offer you a unique experience, a tour with specialized guides: visiting our traditional winery, which dates back to 1940; the modern winery (the Frontos project) where we will show you from beginning to end how we make wine in Frontos and, finally, our impressive tasting room, where we give you a taste of our wines.
