Very nice people here - service was great and they didn't mind that we ordered a relatively "light" snack of beverages and cheese tray; even brought extra bread. Right across from the cathedral. From there it was an easy walk to stroll some of the other streets.

I lived in Orvieto for 5 months while in school. This was our favorite night-time spot. It is a very relaxed place, with an endless wine list always served with some snacks.

Can't believe we did not stumble across this great little bar until our last day. Having enjoyed a very reasonably priced morning cappuccino we returned for afternoon drinks. What a way to pass a Thursday afternoon sat in the main square, watching the world go by with an Aperol Spritz or three. The owner was a friendly and pleasant guy, service was prompt and friendly despite him hosting his daughter's birthday party. He very kindly offered us some of the pizza the kids were too busy running around to eat whilst we sat enjoying our drinks. We returned back after dinner for a drink to finish the evening off in front of the beautiful Duomo. This lovely little bar was the perfect find to end a wonderful five days in Orvieto. Relaxing and taking in the wonderful vibe of this beautiful hill top town.

We stopped at the La Piazzetta wine bar and cafeteria on our visit to Orvieto. I had a margarita pizza which was excellent. The pizza was very large and I offered pieces to two other people. Our group of 22 ate on the terrace and lingered over desserts.

Enjoyed our panino with porchetta near the Duomo of Orvieto. Convenient location, nice sandwich. The children had fresh tagliatelle with ragú (otherwise known as bolognese) and it was a good size portion, not cheap for Italy but very tasty. They very kindly offered us almond biscuits and sweet wine at the end of the meal which was a nice treat.
