A one day trip from Marrakech; the Ouzoud waterfalls are located 180 km northeast of Marrakech. They are the highest waterfalls in Northern Africa. The surrounding landscape is breath-catching and is home to a range of native birds and monkeys. The waterfall's 100 meter drop cuts through the middle of a luxuriant crater and it is often enveloped by a beautiful rainbow.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary with a day trip from Marrakech to the Ouzoud Falls organised by Tizi Trekking. Had a wonderful time exploring these breathtaking cascades with our knowledgeable and friendly local guide. The scenery is stunning with lots of nature, including the local troop of Barbary Macaques. Had a wonderful lunch of traditional lamb tagine on a terrace overlooking the falls. Unforgettable experience.

Cascades d'Akchour are located near Chefchaouen, a wonderful town in the. North of Morocco. In fact, the roite from Chefchaouen to Akchour is fantastic, you can see some beautiful landscapes of Rif Mountains. In Akchour, it is possible to do a hikking to the waterfalls. From the parking, if you walk 45minutes in the correct direction, you arrive to some little waterfalls. It is a perfect excursion to do with children and olders and at the end you can see beautiful waterfalls, while you drink a tea. Also, if you continue, in about 90minutes, you arrive to the best waterfall: a big one with a very beautiful lake, where you can relax and drink a coffe, while you see the most beautiful views of the place. This part is for adults, but not for children or olders. It is not difficult, but sometimes you need to walk on a tree trunk to pass the river or jump between rocks. The excursion is beautiful and the final waterfall is great!

The waterfall of Ras el-Maa is just beyond the far Northeastern gate of Chefchaouen Medina. It’s here, where the water comes gushing out of the mountain, that local women come to do their washing. The sound of the water and the verdant hills provide a sudden, strong dose of nature. N.B. It is a public place and so should not be tagged to me. I'm just surprised it isn't listed on trip advisor
Saw the little building at the base of the hillside / cliff where the spring source flows from. So crystal clear. The towns entire supply is from this source as you can see the pumping station building next to it. Then further down you can see the locals laundry basins on each sided where the locals use it each day. In between them you can see rugs & carpets with stones holding the corners being washed by the flowing waters. All a part of this lively little community, which isn’t all just about tourism. It’s still a home to many families.
A blue dream in hikers paradise Far away from touristic circuits, for those in more adventurous spirit get ready to be taken on a hike to astonishing places in the middle fo waterfalls and natural pools while having so much fun. We won’t forget to take you eating a typical tajine ordered during the morning and cooked in the middle on the mountains with organic vegetables.
