Lovely atmosphere, great food, attentive staff. Service was slow but thatâs because the food is cooked fresh to order - some of the kitchen being visible from the dining area.There were 4 in our party and we each had a different starters and main courses from the specials menu - no complaints from anyone!

Went here with a friend and we ordered off of the lunchtime menu. Great food, great deal and good service. I had the hot cheese for starter and kofte kebab for dinner, my friend had the sausage and then chicken shish Keenan and all were really good. The deal has a beer or soft drink with it, you had a choice of 4 beers, which I thought was good. Even better is the tray of dips and olives, the chilli sauce was really flavoursome and not too hot. Came here for a meal with friends on Saturday to celebrate a 50th Birthday. Food was really nice, presented well and served hot, service was friendly, restaurant had a very nice vibe. Would definitely recommend

Today we visited this wonderful restaurant for breakfast. The quality of the food was outstanding, fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. The owner and staff were all very professional and friendly. Great atmosphere and décor. I highly recommend this restaurant and can not wait to return.

Eight of us had a meal here on a Saturday night. Waited about an hour for starters and a further hour for the main course to arrive. Appreciate that it was busy but there was no real apology for the delay. Whilst some pitta bread was given to us during our initial wait (not sure if we were charged for this due to the bill being taken away after my deposit wasn't initially taken off) it didn't alter the fact that we had to wait so long. Not sure if this is because there appeared to be only 2 chefs working and no doubt trying to do takeaway orders as well. One of the starters was also wrong and we were made out to be the ones at fault! Overall the main meal was really nice although a little expensive in my opinion for what you get. Would I return, probably not due to being let down by service and too expensive.

First time eating here, and booked on the basis of other good reviews, I was not disappointed!Mum had prawn cocktail to start, which was beautifully presented, and according to her, the best shed ever eaten - High praise indeed! I had pate which was equally well presented and delicious. We both had roast beef for main course which came with all the trimmings and perfectly cooked. The roasties particularly crispy, beef nice and pink, great big Yorkshire pud.The service was exceptional, all the staff so friendly and attentive.I can highly recommend this restaurant and will be pleased to return.

We have been to Aspera before and will definitely be returning again. 6 of us visited Aspera for my husbands birthday. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted and taken straight to our table. The food is excellent and good size portions. The staff are attentive, polite and comical at times (in a good way), making you feel like you are not just another number. Birthday dinner with friends. 6 of us, all enjoyed different dishes! Service very good, and made a fuss of when itâs your birthday, lots of singing by the staff! The strawberry daiquiri is delicious! Love their pan fried prawns too! Hubby loves their kleftico dish! Definitely best restaurant in Rayleigh.
