Boat tour of the Aeolian Islands - Squid fishing - Night taxi service My name is Bartolo, and I was born on the beautiful island of Lipari, in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Love for the sea belongs to the family. This passion was passed on to me by my father, an old-fashioned fisherman, loved and known by all as "Lupo di Mare". Since 1996, together with my boat named Cobra, I have dedicated myself to introducing tourists to my land and my islands, the “7 sisters” of volcanic origin, the Aeolian Islands.

Not a bad thing to say, on the contrary. We actually got there earlier than planned and for a low fee ( 1 or 2 euro) we could change our booked tickets for the immediate departure, no question asked. We would actually had loved to take our rented car with us, but for that we should have booked the Siremar ferry which would have taken 3 or 4 times more time. An hydrofoil can't take cars in it, that's a given and it's ok as long as you understand the give and take. Don't think we've been lucky when I read the other reviews, because all the infrastructure there looked solid and well trained. By the way we left our rented car in a recommended garage which offers free shuttle to and from the Liberty: GARAGE DELLE ISOLE, which was also very professional for a fair fee. I have attached pictures of the Liberty hydrofoil AND the Siremar ferry so that you can understand the difference between the 2 ways of transportation.
