Views across from Lighthouse absolute breathtaking. Visit Museum inside enter through courtyard to witness the history. Some interesting pictures too. Enjoy.

This peak is located in "Lombada Velha" (Ponta do Pargo). The name of this peak is related to soil color. To reach the peak you have to walk on a dirt road. When you reach the peak you'll be 420m tall and you'll notice some small farming fields near the sea. View of the ocean and in the distance, the "Ponta do Pargo" lighthouse and "Pico das Favas". The viewpoint near the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Boa Morte in Cabo is one of the least known in Madeira. From the exposed viewing platform on the headland you can gaze along the rugged western coastline. The starkness of the view is breathtaking and the fact that there will most likely be no other people in sight will add to the atmosphere of beautiful isolation.
We visited this spot while walking a levada-walk in the region. It's beautiful! Every 15 minutes you can here the bells chime. You can have a break and relax in the grassfields behind the chapel, towards the sea. When going to the watchpoint, you can see all of the beautiful wild coasts of Madeira.
