Wilstem is an 1,100 acre property located between French Lick and Paoli Indiana. We feature animal encounters, zipline tours, ATV tours, horseback trail riding tours, and lodging.
Wow, I thought I new what to expect coming to Wilstem but it blew my expectations out of the water. We spent many hours here doing a drive thru safari, wagon ride and exploring the walk up exhibits. You get so close to the wildlife that I could hardly believe I was petting a bison and five feet from a grizzly bear. If your anywhere in the area make Wilstem a priority visit. You won’t be disappointed! And you’re welcome!

Paoli Peaks is a great place to bring your family and friends for some winter fun! We offer Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow Tubing during mid-December through mid-March. Take some time looking around and checking out what Paoli Peaks has to offer.
I went skiing on 1/30/21. After watching the forecast closely, I decided to take a gamble and book our lift tickets online from Paoli Peaks website on Thursday for our trip on Saturday. My son, 7, and I rented boots and skis when we arrived. After getting our skis, we rented a locker. You have to use a credit card for the ski rental and the locker. The large locker ($10) was big enough to hold our shoes, drinks, snacks and personal items we wanted to access during the day. Peaks Pizzeria and Grill is located in the lodge and has the best hot chocolate. The bar is closed this season. Non-skiers can hangout comfortably inside and occasionally catch a glimpse of the skiers from the outside deck. If you need ANYTHING for skiing don’t worry- The Paoli Pro Shop can hook you up! They have a large selection of winter clothes and gear located in the lodge. It is reasonably priced, too. If you watch the weather and remember Paoli Peaks is located in Indiana, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the variety of trails offered. The ski lift operators were very professional and the lines moved quickly. There is even a small ski lift for the bunny hill. If you don’t know how to ski, I highly recommend signing up for ski school online. Presently, ski school requires online registration 48 hours in advance on their website. Adult and children’s lessons are very affordable. My son had an hour and half lesson with Daniel who was an excellent instructor. He learned proper ski techniques and became more confident in a new sport. Snowboard lessons are available, too. Thank you to everyone working at Paoli Peaks for offering a unique experience! Your hard work did not go unnoticed.
