The place is not very big, but it has something to offer for kids of all ages. We started off feeding the fish. Next the butterfly life-cycle was explained (in Spanish) and we went to see the butterflies. The tour continues trough a mini zoo. Most of the animals have been rescued after people tried to smuggle them out of the area / jungle to sell them as pets.
After seeing the animals, our kids (7 and 5) had great fun playing with the "airplane zip" they had set up. Finally we all relax a few minutes with ice-cream in the hammock. A nice and varied experience.

A lot of 1st grade coffee, juices, manjar blanco "dulce de leche", polen, cheeses honey's tasting since you step into this huge store. They also sell cecina.
A lot of souveniers too.
The tasting part was pretty much organized, but they should improve the system at the time of paying. Only 2 girls at the cashier (one way faster than the other) with a big line waiting.

Nice walk. Beautiful views. Take pictures! I was surprised to see cars crossing this bridge too. A "nativo" will put a snake around your neck for the picture for $0.30. It was fun.

We took a mototaxi but he could not make it all the way up the roads are so steep. Nice view, tidy, but not a lot of infrastructure. A cafe would be nice. there was a zoo but it closed.

A wonderful local zoo in the Chanchamayo valley with plenty of jungle flora and fauna. Tickets cost only S/. 5 for a tour of the butterfly tent and small zoo. There is also a hammock area and a playground at the end of your tour. You can also purchase what appears to be fish food to feed any animal. There are no tours in English, however.
