Kaiapoi is a town in the Waimakariri District of the Canterbury region, in the South Island of New Zealand. The town is located approximately 17 kilometres north of central Christchurch, close to the mouth of the Waimakariri River. It is considered to be a satellite town of Christchurch, although in the Waimakariri for statistical purposes it is part of the Christchurch urban area.

Imagine walking through a park that is ideal for picnics and family and friends to get together and wander around... This park is special its filled with food...over 30 types of apple, pears, plums, apricots, nuts and berries...over 1000 trees and plants have been donated to this community run destination.. come for a visit... there is so much to do in Kaiapoi... walk along the river, visit the wonderful shops and the large number of restaurants and great cafes
This is an excellent spot to stroll and sample the increasing number of goodies. Meetings are held so you can learn about bees, kumara growing, food growing. Very friendly place to visit. Has a food stand so you can donate your extra food or help yourself to donations. Thank you for this lovely place.

Not Just Red Ones Jewellery is a small private boutique jewellery studio & showroom that is currently open to the public 5 days a week. (The studio's core hours are normally Mon-Fri 9am - 1pm, but may vary depending on circumstances so you are welcome to phone ahead to check.) Jewellery is made and sold on site. A costume/fashion jewellery repair service is also offered. The business is known locally not just for its beautiful hand-crafted jewellery but also for its old-fashioned service and its unexpectedly pleasant fairy-light lit interior.
