The weather wasn’t on our side for the vineyard tour but we had a fantastic day regardless! The owner and his son are very charismatic and funny so even in wellies and umbrellas (which they provided) in the cold we still learnt loads about the vineyard and of course got to try some very generous tasters of the sparkling wine too. Really great vineyard, I’ll certainly be back in the warmer months and hopefully do some picking too!

Stunning views up here over Sussex. A lovely walk from here to Devil's Dyke or go the other way to Lewes. Parking is free if you are a National Trust member.

The golf course is set in the heart of Sussex and offers more than just golf. The newly refurbished clubhouse creates an ideal ambience with a welcoming lounge and bar area. This ensures that Mid Sussex offers some of the best facilities in Sussex to its members and guests. As well as breakfast, lunch and dinner the facilities are also available for bookings for groups of up to 100, weddings, functions etc The golf course, practice facilities and dedicated coaching team ensure that Mid Sussex offers the full golfing package to all our members, but we are much more than just a golf club. We believe that quality service throughout all aspects of the club ensure that you will keep coming back. The golf club is open to the public offering bar and catering facilities of the highest calibre which can be enjoyed in the peaceful tranquil surrounds of the picturesque gardens and golf course.
Have booked my annual society here for the last 3 years, the team and course are brilliant. I was first a member in 2014 for a few years and the difference now is staggering.

Ridgeview was founded in 1995 by Mike and Chris Roberts and is dedicated to creating world class sparkling wines in the South Downs of England. Our vineyards specialise in growing classic grape varieties to make the highest quality bottle fermented sparkling wines. The world class status of our wines is reflected by the number of national & international medals and trophies we have received since the release of our first wines from the 1996 vintage. The second generation of the family have now become established in key roles within Ridgeview, enabling the continued expansion of the business. Our dedication, passion and determination have significantly contributed to the international reputation and popularity now attributed to English Sparkling Wine. This passion and determination is shared by a great team of dedicated staff who are fundamental to the continuing success of Ridgeview.
Really interesting tour, great location and fantastic wine. Really good value and works well for a socially-distanced activity.

Ditchling is no ordinary village; it has been home to some of Britain's most innovative artists and has a legacy of international importance. Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft is an independent charity dedicated to the display and preservation of art and craft produced by artists associated with the village of Ditchling. The museum celebrates the important artistic heritage of the village which was home to many artists including Frank Brangwyn, Eric Gill, Charles Knight, David Jones, Edward Johnston, Ethel Mairet and many others. Following a major redevelopment in 2013, the museum is now an award-winning attraction with regularly changing exhibitions, a dedicated learning space and new facilities including a shop and cafe in a restored 18th century Cart Lodge.
Interesting and attractive buildings in a lovely situation. The exhibition was fascinating and the cafe served excellent coffee, much needed after a long journey across West Sussex

I found this little gem of a place when I made a wrong turn. I'm very glad I did. Very warm friendly welcome at reception. I had called up beforehand to enquire about camping, but decided a day visit would be easier first. The lady who answered was so helpful and explained all that we could expect from our visit. We weren't disappointed. The entry rates are very reasonable to start. We had a delightful afternoon wandering the paths through a nature haven, with sheep, turkeys, pigs, miniature ponies along the way. We had bought a bag of fish food/duck food and had fun feeding both when we reached the lake. Loved the little museum that demonstrates the life of the inventor of Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang. Unfortunately, due to it being a very hot day we couldn't stay in there too long, but it just means we'll have to go back to this lovely place. :) Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature and peace.

We’re lucky enough to have been supplying plants to gardens across the country for over a century. We’re strong believers in doing something you love. And there’s nothing we love more than rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck in caring for, talking about and selling plants. We care about gardening and care about helping gardeners. After all, we should - we've been doing it for a long time! We’re inspired by the magic of gardening and our passion for horticulture is at the heart of everything we do. Think fresh cut grass, Snowdrops in Spring or the smell of a good compost and you’ll get a feel for what makes us tick. Proud to be family-owned and independent, our core values of quality and customer care remain the same as when we first started. We thrive on helping you find the inspiration you need to create an outside space you love. Our garden centres are run by dedicated teams of horticultural experts and gardening enthusiasts.
