This park offers a number of trails that cover woods, water, and the elevated bridge/road over the dam. Be prepared for dogs off leash especially in the early morning.

I had never been here before but after the service the GM Tim gave i will be recommending this place to my golfing buddies. He was patient in explaining the process and even though I just used the driving range the accuracy of the machines was amazing. And I had lunch so i can say the food was very good. If you miss golf during the Winter then this is the place to come with your clubs! One hr and you play a whole golf course!!

We had a great day hike here. Total trail distance from the trailhead entrance off 202 to the top and back is around 1.8 to 2.5 miles depending on if you explore a little more at the top. Beautiful views from the top where there is an American flag and painted rocks dedicated to local law enforcement and firefighters. Part of the trail intersects with the Appalachian Trail. Can be wet and slippery depending on the season but the trail is always maintained exceptionally well and well marked. Can be busy on the weekends. From the top you’ll get a one of a kind view of the Bear Mountain Bridge. Total trip time was approximately 2 hours walking at a steady and easy pace with a 15 minute stop at the summit to take pictures and enjoy the view of the bridge and the Hudson River.

We’ve been here twice to see a great country band, Whiskey’s Edge. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is what you’d expect for a local dive bar. The wait staff is super nice and the regulars seem very friendly. There are a limited number of tables and the bar seemed to fill up around 7:30 on a Saturday night. In warmer weather there’s outdoor seating, if that’s your thing. Would we return? We sure would, to have a beer, hear Whiskey’s Edge and have a delicious bite to eat.
