Opera Bosco Museum of Art in Nature is an open air experimental laboratory museum of contemporary art in nature founded by Anne Demijttenaere in collaboration with Constantine Morosin. Opera Bosco is different from other places of public art, for the choice to realize the works with the natural raw materials of the forest. It is located in Calcata in the Viterbo Province and spans on two hectares in the Valle del Treja. A Wood rich of biodiversity of trees and underbrush, tuff rocks, and caves dating back to prehistoric times, with a source and Etruscan ancient man-made arrived up to now more than 3,000 years ago in perfect environmental conditions. OPERA BOSCO Museum of Art in Nature was inaugurated in October 1996. In 1997, for its quality standards, the Museum became part of the Musart system of the Culture of the Lazio Region. In 2005 Opera Bosco was promoted by the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome as part of the "European Heritage Days", and entered in the interest of the Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities as well as several universities and local government in Italy and abroad. In 2007 Opera Bosco contributes to the definition of guidelines for the Environment Department of the Lazio Region. Opera Bosco got a Special mention of the Landscape Award of the Council of Europe from 2010 to 2015. In these twenty years the Museum, provide environmental art education activities involving teachers and students of each school level, from childhood to college and realized interventions of Art in Nature in different places in Italy and abroad. The Museum founder Anne Demijttenaere cured and participated in the 14. Venice Biennale of Architecture 2014 as a side event with the creation of a path of Art in Nature on the Certosa Island, and in 2015 with the creation of a monumental work made collectively by five artists on San Secondo that is visible on the site terraterravenezia.
