The Addison Gallery is home to a world-class collection of American Art, along with a vital and adventurous exhibitions program. The museum is committed to serving the public through free admission and an education outreach program that reaches diverse audiences. The Addison’s size gives visitors an opportunity to experience its wide-ranging exhibitions in a more intimate setting than typical of larger museums. The Addison is just 30 minutes from Boston.
This was a great little museum to visit for a couple hours. Good American art - Winslow Homer, John Singer Sargent, etc. But our favorite was the Superman and Wonder Woman exhibit -very insightful. Friendly helpful staff, and the museum was free. GPS steered us wrong though - use 2 Chapel Street as the GPS goal to get to parking that works.

Climb a hill for great views extending from the surrounding Merrimack Valley to the Boston skyline, or explore this sprawling landscape along almost 10 miles of trails.
I brought my 2 and 9 year old daughters here we did the shortest hike up to the solstice stones there was. I think it was about 1 mile total. My 2 year old (will be 3 in November) absolutely loved and had no problem with the hike. My 9 year old liked it but wished we could do more. Can't wait to come back with the 9 year old and explore some more and do some of the longer trails. The top of the hill had some beautfiul views, even on the way up we had some spots with wonderful views. The Solstice stone were pretty cool at the top too. The kids enjoyed playing at the top for a bit
