The exhibits inside this former Japanese prefecture building were well laid out and provided an closer look into Taiwan's literary history. We had the benefit of a local providing additional perspective and translating. Worth visiting, but have a someone with language skills accompany you for an optimal experience.

Although this oldest temple dedicated to Confucius is still being renovated, you can still see an entry gate, wall decorations (elephant!), and a modern reading sculpture near the onsite bookshop. There are some vending machines next to the bookshop for a cool drink. You can also enjoy the well- maintained gardens and an adjacent chidlren's playground.

This park and shrine are both beautiful and peaceful. Just off a main road so it is very easy to access, but once inside it feels like you are in the countryside. The park is beautifully laid out with ponds, pagodas and the shrine. The buildings themselves are beautifully painted, and inside you can read the history of Koxinga, which was very helpful in terms of understanding the local history of Tainan. It was also an excellent place for kids to experience living history as they explored the rooms.

Blueprint Cultural & Creative Park (BCP) was once called "the First Judicial New Village." It was the dormitory for the employees of the Tainan Prison, the Tainan Detention Center, the High Court Tainan Branch Court, and the Tainan High Prosecutors Office. In order to preserve the city's legacy, revitalize the deserted place, and connect it with the trend of the cultural and creative industry, after repairing this area, Tainan City Government recruited creative brands and people to set counters in the park. Since December 2015, BCP has been open for everyone, and become one of the most important creative clusters in the city.
This is a small cultural park consisting of small refurbished old houses. The exterior decorations of the houses are very interesting. There are many walls painted with colourful and lively pictures. There are little shops and cafes here too. It is a great place for photography. Spending 30-45 minutes here should be sufficient.
