Bathrooms, life guards in the summer, and a wonderful sandy beach. Not crowed, and if it is, the beach goes on for miles

Fun night it was a nice drive in! We watched Jurassic Park, they’re currently showing all older movies during covid. Recommend bringing dinner to eat in the car. Would definitely go back!

The Eastern Trail

Reviewed By NHjo - Saco, United States

A portion of the Eastern Trail goes over the beautiful Scarborough salt marsh via a dirt walkway and small bridge and has great views of the marsh, the seagulls, terns, and ducks (and the train, when it's running). It's a fairly short portion of the Eastern Trail and is easy to do. There's a small parking lot near it, right off the main road going to Pine Point. The trail is a few yards past the Audubon Center. It's a great walk or bike ride, especially on a warm, sunny day.

18 Hole Miniature Golf Course And Ice Cream

We have been going here for many years, and we still love it now that our kids are teens! Pros...price, course, cleanliness, friendly staff, deck (you can bring your own food for lunch or dinner), and ice cream! They have the best shakes! Great venue to take the kids and their friends! Parking is ample and free, and you don’t need to break the bank to play....$2.00 per person for a second round! We haven’t tried the batting cages but enjoy watching, and looks like fun. Could easily make an afternoon or evening out of this venue with a pizza delivery. Cons...not many...have to get in the car to get here. Just a few miles from the beach!

Aquaboggan Water Park

We were really impressed by the overall cleanliness of the park, including the bathrooms, which is where these places normally come unstuck. Even though it was a weekend, so it very busy, nothing felt overly crowded and there was plenty of seating, sunny and shaded (lounge chairs, picnic tables, etc). The best part was that we never had to wait too long in a line so they could repeat our favorite slides over and over. The entire staff was so friendly and attentive. When we were in the deep end of the wave pool, I felt more at ease knowing there were several lifeguards around, as we were with someone who was a very weak swimmer.

Cinemagic is a stone's long throw from my place, and I finally went to see a film there (I blame Netflix and Amazon Prime). There's nothing like seeing a film, especially one with great cinematography, in a real theater, though, and the IMAX theater at Cinemagic is fantastic. It's a big theater with a huge screen, very comfortable recliner seats that feel more like lounge chairs, and lots of space between aisles so you don't have to worry about the person in front of you reclining into your lap. Reasonable prices for tickets, especially if you buy them in person instead of online. The popcorn prices are ridiculous, however -- a small popcorn is almost the price of the theater ticket. It's only POPCORN. Other than that, the IMAX theater can't be beat. AND, there's an adjoining Otto Pizza restaurant and bar.
