We spent 3 night in a spacious, quiet site in Dales Gorge Campground. Everywhere we visited in Karijini NP was beautiful from the spectacular view to excellent walks and hikes. The visitor centre is about 10 km from Dales Campground, it has free wifi and a shower. In the overflow area near the Information centre you can dispose of rubbish and obtained some water. I personally loved the Dales Gorge round trip hike down to Fortesque falls, Fern Pool, walked through the Gorge to Stunning Circular Pool then climbed approximately 100 metres up, out of the Gorge. Also the view at Oxer Lookout is stunning. There are plenty of toilets throughout the NP and parking plus at Weano Gorge there is a picnic area. There is some dirt, corrugated roads into Weano and Hancock Gorges. No Telstra. Highly recommend.

You’ll be astonished at the picturesque views of the Dampier Archipelago and the stunning blue water when viewed from our helicopter. The contrast between the bright white beaches and the rugged Pilbara landscape is a breathtaking sight. Keep an eye out for turtles, manta rays, dugongs and a range of other marine life. Take a scenic flight, experience an exhilarating heli-dive or land on a remote island for a private picnic.

If you want the natural phenomenon, this version is probably second best, best being Settlers Beach at Cossack. No markets and way less people so much more enjoyable with a picnic and a chilled drink.

A lookout to see all the neighbouring mines as well as a spectacular view of the area. Ideal at dawn and dusk.
Great lookout from Radio Hill. You get to see Newman town, the mine and the hills surrounding with red dust. Great for sunset viewing and there are seating areas above so you can see the sunset or the sunrise.

We walked the Dale Gorge Rim before descending the steps down to the falls. Some fitness/agility needed to move around the rocky gorge area, as well as swim skills. Water was refreshing, great photo opportunities. Some shady spots around the perimeter. Smooth rocks can be slippery when entering the water.

Along the necessarily industrial coastline of this mining port town, the Pretty Pool park area is a fantastic place to score some shade and relax. Expect to be there with families and fellow travellers enjoying the unique aspects of the port and bay vistas
