Wild Park Derbyshire is a family run Conference and Outdoor Activity centre offering Paintballing, Woodland Laser Tag, multi terrain Quad Biking, Archery, Crossbow and Pistol shooting. We have been established for over 30 years in the Peak District. We are situated in the heart of Derbyshire but only 10 minutes from the City of Derby and Ashbourne.
Took my 13 year old Nephew quad biking for a birthday treat! He had a fantastic time. The staff were all very helpful and friendly from Davina who booked us in and Jen on the desk to the instructors, Jamie who gave excellent safety briefing. Jody and his Son were very patient and gave my nephew who’s first time on a quad a brilliant experience in a beautiful place, he wants to know when he can go again. Thanks to everyone at Wildpark and those behind the scenes. Sarah and Jake x

Home of the ex-Regal/ABC Derby Mighty Compton Cinema Organ. Only open on concert days. Please see website for details of concerts.
Just walked out of Pipes in the Peak, having listened to Phil Kelsall (principal organist at Blackpool Tower) for two hours. I’m up in the air. What an organist, what technique, and what a fantastic organ to perform on. An enormous credit to Mr D Thorp ( the owner) who fulfilled his dream! Not just a Crompton organ, but a piece of magic with added extras. It’s a must for anyone to visit. A glass of wine, coffee and biscuits, an incredible afternoons entertainment. All for £12. Never mind the surrounding countryside as an added bonus. This is the best attended “organ” venue in the U.K. , and I can’t recommend it highly enough. (I’m a semi pro musician, have been for the last 50 years, so I’ve got a good ear)!

Can’t thank Guy and Les enough for making us feel so welcome we had the best time! The mixed bag shooting was excellent!! Stef was a great entertaining instructor and we all got the hang of the various activities under his watch! I think we’ve all come away with a love of cross bows and rifles! The accommodation was super cute and had everything we needed! The shower/toilet block had plenty of space even with 14 girls trying to get ready for a night out at the Lighthouse Restaurant up the road. The summerhouse kitchen had everything we needed, and the bbq hut (with its ready laid fire) was perfect for the end of the night. We had an absolute blast and I’m trying to think up more reasons to come back and stay again!

The National Trust is a registered charity. With your help, we protect some of the most important spaces and places in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We take care of historic houses, gardens, mills, coastline, forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, nature reserves, villages and pubs - and then we open them up for ever, for everyone. Dovedale valley is owned and cared for by the National Trust, with important woodlands, wildflower meadows and impressive limestone rock features throughout the valley. Please note; there is a privately owned car park a short and easy walk from the famous Stepping Stones. This is not a National Trust car park. The nearest National Trust car park is a mile away at Ilam Park, where National Trust member can park for free. There are toilets beside the Dovedale car park and these are owned and maintained by the Peak District National Park Authority. There is a charge of 20p to use these toilets.
we had a gorgeous days walking here in June, starting from Ilam and heading along the beautiful valley to Millers dale. the perfect clean waters of the river dove sparkled in the sunshine, the lovely rock formations and caves, flowers and wildlife are ever so enthralling. we paused for a coffee and a delicious Cornish pasty at the little shop before heading back to complete a wonderful seven mile walk.

My daughter is now 3 & we’ve had a party for her each year with 9 of her friends, All you need to do is provide a cake and an optional balloon, Lunar take care of the rest! The team are always friendly and ensure you have a fab day! The food is perfect for a toddlers party and the party bags are also ideal, I would recommend anyone book their parties here for a stress free time & no cleaning up after ????

We have been to the Dovedale Stepping stones three times now, they are beautiful and a novel way across the river. Set at the mouth of the stunning Dovedale valley, the Stepping stones and the grassy area next to it make this a perfect place to sit and reflect on natures unparalleled majesty. The Stepping stones are set reasonably close together, but are uneven and can get slippery so a modicum of ability is required to cross. The only thing, not even a downside really, is that the stepping stones and the valley can get very very busy..... so my two tips are go early and if your dog doesn't like the stones they can just wade/swim across depending on size.
