The panel were outstandingly beautiful and showed the extraordinary craftsmanship of local talented "stitchers". The panels lay out a wonderful history of the foundation and development of New Ross. A must-see whenever in New Ross. Well worth a slow intake of this magnificent tribute to all involved.

My name is Irene Kelly. My formal training includes basket making and horticultural skills, but my interest in crafts and gardening goes back to my childhood. I grew up in a household where making and creating were part of everyday life. This experience greatly enriched my life and so I enjoy the sharing and passing on of the knowledge and skills I have acquired over the years. Here at Green Road Gardens we offer a variety of classes including: basket making; gardening; crafts; stone carving; building living willow structures; vegetable and herb growing; preserving; and many more. Here our tutoring style involves lots of practical and hands on training in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Bespoke classes also available for groups on request.
Having attended this class last year and loving it, had a good idea of what to expect, but this one turned out to be so good, am already looking forward to booking a place in 2020. So much to learn and never enough time, as Irene is a natural teacher, patient and encouraging and has such a wealth of knowledge. So generous too, which we soon discovered when presented with her perfect home cooking. Make sure to explore her beautiful garden as you'll see hints of some of the other classes she gives. Bring a friend, they'll thank you.

Visited recently, the guide was very enthusiastic and informative. The two actors playing the part of the passengers really brought the story alive and the interaction with the visitors was entertaining! After the ship we visited the restaurant which was excellent and far above the standard normally found at a visitor centre. Would thoroughly recommend a visit to the Dunbrody.

Taking a trip back in time at the Dunbrody Visitors Centre has to be one of the highlights of a visit to New Ross. Understanding the reasons for leaving Ireland and the hardship entailed in doing so, brings empathy. The characterisations of the players on-board the ship were excellent and again you began to feel the atmosphere and life undertaken by these unfortunate people. Time spent walking around the bowels of the ship and reflecting upon their plight is well worth it. Afterwards, take in the exhibits and exhibition in the visitors centre; it all starts to make sense. An absolute winner of a tourist attraction.
