Ganesha temple in Flushing New York has more to offer than it looks from outside. Very Peaceful and calm houses a traditional Ganesha murti along with many other idols of Goddess and God. It was a beautiful visit for us on a very cold day. Very close to traditions and Hindu faith. I have to mention the Temple Canteen, which serves absolutely delicious vegetarian food in a Udupi style. You can have absolutely lip-smacking dosa and idiyappam. If in that area, it is a must recommended visit, if you want to know about the Hindu faith.

A Reformed Jewish house of worship for nearly a century, the free Synagogue of Flushing is the oldest liberal Reform synagogue in Queens. Services are open to all who wish to attend, and take place on Friday evenings at 7:30. We are located one block from the Flushing branch of the Queens Public Library. We have a beautiful garden right in the heart of Flushing, and our stained glass windows attract many visitors every year. If you would like to tour this historic landmark, please call to make a reservation.

Twenty of us attended a 60th Birthday party for a dear friend who is a huge Met fan, at Mikkeller Brewing NYC and we had a grand time. The birthday boy's fiance decorated our party section with Met's colors and baseball paraphernalia. The brewery provided trays of ball park inspired foods: hot dogs, sliders, french fries and more. The food was good and service was excellent. With over 60 beers to choose from as well as cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic beverages there was more than something for everyone. Complimentary parking was available in lot G adjacent to the brewery (non-game day), Board games for adults and children were available.

Housed in the historic New York City Building, this museum features modern and contemporary works designed to enrich peoples' appreciation and enjoyment of the fine arts through changing exhibitions, films, family workshops, lectures and performances.
Free. Scheduled a timed entry just to used bathroom. Turns out to be lovely! The New York panorama is wonderful. My 7 year old son enjoyed, we used the audio guides via the QR code on the walkways which were super helpful. Loved the Tiffany glass art exhibit. Wish they had the explanatory video playing in an area where you could sit and watch it in its entirety! Bathrooms super clean.

New York Hall of Science presents 450 exhibits, demonstrations, workshops and participatory activities that explain science, technology, engineering, and math. A visit to NYSCI is a hands-on, energetic educational experience where you can indulge your curiosity and nurture your creativity. NYSCI offers professional development for teachers, produces curricula and resources for classrooms, and studies how technology, gaming and play affect how we learn. NYSCI was founded at the 1964-65 World's Fair and has evolved into New York's center for interactive science, serving a half million students, teachers, and families each year.
Great hands on science museum. There are exhibits that all will find interesting, something for everyone in the family. Go outdoor to view space rockets, Don’t miss a peak at the great hall. It’s a beautiful space, with unique windows...it’s just wonderful...and a great place to hold a special event. There are interesting performers and events throughout the year. Go for a stroll in the park too.

When you enter the New World Mall it has several floors with retail stores and a robust Asian supermarket. The foodcourt is located on the lower level of the mall. This is the hidden gem of the mall. There you will find a wide array of stalls with a diverse selection of authentic Asian cuisine where the locals come to eat. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT MUST IF NOT ALL VENDORS TAKE CASH ONLY. Towards the very back of the foodcourt tucked away in the corner is stall L25. We have traveled throughout Asia and outside of Asia, eating dumplings, while not Asian, we feel we know sufficient general knowledge to be able to identify a good dumpling. These dumplings are very good. The ladies prepare them fresh and the ingredients are delicious. The price point is extremely reasonable allowing you to purchase them if nothing else to get a taste for them. I do not believe you will be disappointed. Please note that these are traditional dumplings so they are "boiled" not fried. The ladies are very hard working, you get the added bonus of being able to watch them do their special technique of creating the dumpling. They are very nice and provide excellent customer service. We will definitely be going back when in town again. We loved the experience.
