Visited the Art Barn with two of my daughters best friends ...they started with an acrylic pour paint project and before we knew it we were all making reversible masks and lanyards too! Spent the entire afternoon there...Beth is an exceptionally talented artist and teacher ...the girls were constantly engaged and I was so impressed on how quickly they learned to use the sewing machines...the giggles were endless and hearing the laughter in such unprecedented times was priceless...so grateful to have had the opportunity to share the afternoon with Beth and Mona Lisa...looking forward to more artistic fun at the Art Barn in the near future!

Good BC wine, incredible tapas lunch and service staff that were exceptional. On a beautiful fall day a spur of the moment visit from Cranbrook took us to the visitor's center in downtown Creston where because it had a bistro, we were directed to the winery. We were greeted by April and given a table with a Tuscan like view overlooking the valley. April assisted with the tapas menu, we sampled some of Skimmerhorn's red wines and thoroughly enjoyed a memorable experience.

We tell great stories. We can explain how Creston got its wacky time zone. We can tell you about the steamship that became a tractor (sort of), the first airplane to land in Creston, and the teacher who refused to be fired. Speaking of "great" stories, there's "The Great Railway Race" and the "Great Creston Bank Robbery." And have you heard the one about the imaginary student in Grade Thirteen? Really, we're not making this up. Why would we? Truth is so much better than fiction. We can even help you tell the greatest story of all: your own. So come on in. After all, there's no time like the present to discover the past.
Found it by surprise. Wonderful time capsule of local history, as well as extensive collection of clothes, tools, farm and industrial machinery, medical equipment, early electrical appliances, furnishings, toys, buildings from 19th & 20th centuries. And a well done large working HO model railroad. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Well worth the stop.

Serene Spa is a full service day spa offering skin therapy, relaxation massage, nail enhancements, pedicures & manicures, lash enhancements and our own high-end in house skin care line designed and manufactured in Canada. We offer a relaxing, big city atmosphere while still maintaining small town charm and hospitality. We look forward to pampering you.
I had a facial and a pedicure. The facial was such a relaxing and personalized experience and my skin feels great! The pedicure was one of the best I had, the tech took her time and was very gentle, it was the first time I had ever had a clay mask for my feet and I just loved it.

Baillie-Grohman’s premium award winning boutique wines are grown, handcrafted and bottled in small lots in the breathtaking Creston Valley in south-eastern British Columbia Canada. The Baillie-Grohman tasting room is open for tastings and sales 7 days a week between 11am – 5pm. Fridays and Saturdays in August we have an extended Happy Hour session in our pergola from 5pm – 7pm. It’s exciting to be on the edge in this emerging wine-growing region. We see interesting distinctions in our valley and on our Erickson Bench that are yielding premium wines with a unique Kootenay fingerprint.
We had planned to stay in Oosoyos (no vacancy) but ended up in Grand Forks. I was so sad driving by so many wineries after hours, knowing we couldn’t back track in the morning... so when my husband saw a couple winery signs in Creston, he pulled off the highway to check them out! The wineries are very well marked and easy to find. The staff at Baillie-Grohman were so sweet, friendly and followed all the sanitation measures required. We did a wine tasting which was very informative and engaging & then took a bottle of Gewürztraminer and charcuterie board of goodies to enjoy on the patio. The grounds are gorgeous and I was secretly taking landscaping notes! Loved the patios and the many different seating configurations. There were numerous interesting garden art pieces to enjoy as well. Although the air was smokey on this day, we could still see the beautiful sprawling vineyards. So glad we came across this winery!

Travelling through and stopped in for a quick tasting. Ended up having a great chat with David and enjoyed all the wines. Tastings like these are few and far between these days. Recommended.
