Visited this restaurant, conveniently located in Bokhari Commercial area of DHA. This area has become a hub for nice upcoming food places. This was a fairly small place, on two floors offering smoking and non smoking area. We reached around 8.45 PM for dinner without a reservation, but got a table for 4. Ordered some sushi, papaya salad and beef tataki. Generally quality was good. For main we ordered crispy fish tacos, rice noodle bowl and steak. Tacos and noodle bowl were fine but steak was served a bit late and quality was nothing to rave about. Prices were also just ok, nit too cheap and not very high. Generally a reasonable place to visit for a casual meal.

For my birthday, I took the family to our favorite Thai restaurant, Fuchsia. We started with the clear Tom Yum Soup which was yummy as always! And followed up with entrees - fiery pan-fried curried lobster, king prawns in pepper corn sauce, red chicken curry and stir-fried snow peas & baby corn in oyster sauce. As always, the service was superb, right from the complimentary starters to the steaming hot rice refills consistently piled on by attentive waiters. Everything was excellent as is the standard with Fuchsia! The only thing they lack is a decent dessert ... (are you listening Fuchsia?)PS: Make sure to book in advance, the place is always full regardless of the day of the week.

The reinvented Cafe Zouk on Khayabane-Shujaat continues to impress with its excellent cuisine and service. We recently invited some friends for lunch and everyone left raving about the experience. The appetisers included crispy and fresh fried calamari, Greek salad and stuffed mushrooms followed by entrees of spicy black pepper chicken, charbroiled chicken shitaki mushroom, shrimps with lemon grass and chillies, Thai beef curry with basil, Thai special noodles and fillet of red snapper. The wiped clean plates spoke volumes of the yum factor! The only inconsonant note was the bread pudding - we all found it to be extra sweet and the bread extra thick. But, by and large, the Zouk experience still remains "zabadast!"

Rice & Noodle Bar - Wok your way into the flavourful world of Pan Asian cuisine! Real food for real people at real prices!
We had heard a lot about Chop Chop Wok and went there with high expectations. On entrance, we found the ambiance ok but the seating wasn't very comfortable and one got a feeling of cramped spaces. Like most fusion restos, we had to select from a good variety of bases, flavours and proteins producing over 50 combinations in Cantonese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Pan Asian and Oriental flavours. Though many people like this concept but I never found it convincing. My logic is very simple.... good food is not about the option of mixing various things at the spot and come up with a different dish every time....quality cooking is an art and it takes quite a bit of imagination, skill and care to produce a quality dish. And then there is an expertise that a cook (or a restaurant) acquires over a period of time. So an outstanding cook of Chinese food may not be that good in desi or Arabic foods per se. Now Thai, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Japanese etc are quite different cooking styles and develping and expertise in all of them by a single restaurant is very difficult. So most fusion restos produce a food that is similar in taste, regardless of the falvour that you select simply because the cook and the cooking place is same. So this was about the concept basically, not a criticism on Chop Chop Wok per se. The restaurant management has done a pretty decent job managing the place. The prawn dish that we ordered in Cantonese style was good but the beef in Thai style wasn't much to our liking. Quality of meat wasn't good and we kept chewing it for qutie some time. Overall, a nice place to go if you aran't fussy about this thing that Chinese must taste like Chinese food and Thai must taste like Thai food.

This place is expensive and the food they serve is overrated. Servers don't care if you need additional rice once the main course is served. Average per head cost goes up to 1,600.Verdict:It's not worth your money !

I would say it was quite a different experience, the ambiance, menu and service style is certainly unique and probably the reason for a good success story.the soups offered are good and the food is of average taste.should try once for an unorthodox eat out.

Not very fond of writing review essays, but Tao Pan Asian Karachi has it all to make anyone appreciate. This was the restaurant that satisfied our appetite for near to authentic but really good Pan Asian food, from variety of sushi and starters to main course, everything has been worth trying every time.
