Visited the restaurant twice, first time ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice set lunch and had Tomyum Fried Rice set lunch the next time. Both times food was good and was served quite fast. Price is reasonable for the set lunch as it comes with a drink and tomyum soup. Would definitely return for another meal.
The foods are very nice which taste is very closed to what you taste in Thailand. Variety variety such as tomyam, green curry chicken, pandan chicken, lime steam fish, many more...staff are mainly siamist and rhey are very friendly. The restaurant just by the beach near to Teluk kumbar, a fishing village. People can enjoy sea view n enjoy breeze while waiting for the foods
This restaurant is located on the top floor of Queensbay mall with a great view of Penang and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food is better then good but portion size is small. Mains are neither wholly Chinese nor Thai although we did have a Thai dessert of mango with sticky rice from their limited dessert selection. A great place to get away for an hour or two from the shopping crowd.

Just like the title, they served average thai food.No specialty in taste whatsoever. For example the tomyam menu; tomyam are supposed to taste a mixture of spicy, hot & sour. Theirâs just sour. But I do applaud the timing for the foods to be served; just within 10 minutes after ordering. However, the waiterâs attitute also a downside for this place; making you feel not welcome at all.Overall, its a place where you can fill your stomach, but donât expect any specialty in taste or service.

Only the view is nice. Foodwise, Iâd give it a ZERO. Tomyum is bland, more towards tomato soup than any other thing. Green curry chicken equally poor, sweetened from the taste of it. Kerabu four angled bean ordered first as appetizer but arrived last, & cooked (say what?). Surrounding atmosphere is rundown .... Iâd dare say this place canât survive beyond 2017. Pls change management or owner.

This visit was our second and if not for our guests, we would not have dined here. Our guests wanted to have an experience of having dinner while watching the sunset at dinner and Khun Thai had that to offer with the beach and sea too. We ordered Steamed Fish Thai Style, Prawn Cakes, Mango Salad and Kangkong Sambal. We wanted Sayur Paku Sambal but were told they did not have it and we had to opt for the kangkong. Taste was average, nothing exceptional. Pricing on the high side compared to other Thai eateries.

You have to go early to find a place to sit. Service was fast and polite. Place is reasonably clean. The lemon steam fish, mantis prawns and tom yam seafood is truly amazing. Strongly recommended.

Came here for dinner, restaurant was literally empty, food was average, the steam fish we ordered was terrible with fishy smell and the meat was disintegrating. Another dish we ordered was deep fried fish with garlic which did not arrive at the table and seeing that the steam fish was pathetic we did not even bother to ask where was our deep fried fish with garlic. The only above average dish was the steam squid. The restaurant next door was full of people.
