Oh my gosh, we attended the Broadway Pops performance at the Capital Theatre and was amazed at the talent that was presented in two short hours! The Windsor Symphony Orchestra consists of a large group of superb, outstanding musicians lead by a charismatic conductor. And if that wasn’t enough they partnered with the talented students in the St Clair College Music Theatre Program which put the whole production over the top! Be sure to attend the other productions offered by the Windsor Symphony Orchestra and when they have an event with the St Clair College Music Theatre students make sure you go! Circle it on your calendar with red marker and prepare to be totally amazed!

Founded in 1922, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra is one of Canada’s leading cultural institutions. Today, more than 225,000 patrons and over 50,000 students visit the Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall each year, and an additional five million Canadians tune in to concert broadcasts on CBC Radio. Under the leadership of Music Director Peter Oundjian, the Orchestra has increased recording and touring projects to include a self-produced record label, and performances throughout the US and Canada. The Orchestra continues to develop its international presence by being an active commissioning body for new Canadian and international works, as well as attracting distinguished guest artists and conductors to performances at Roy Thomson Hall.
I went with two teenagers to see the symphony. They were performing works by American composers. The orchestra is an excellent group of very talented musicians. The venue has amazing acoustics and the program was very well thought out and orchestrated. Definitely a good place to go to see world class musicians

Since 1993, Meridian Arts Centre (formerly the Toronto Centre for the Arts) has welcomed thousands of visitors, patrons, performers and artists through its grand main entrance. The Centre began and remains as unique and diverse as the Toronto community itself, a testament to the virtues of harmony, vitality and celebration, with a spirit that embraces innovation and tradition equally. Located in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area, no other entertainment and arts facility is better positioned than the Toronto Centre for the Arts. It is easily accessible by major highways, arteries as well as the public transit system. Equidistant between the Sheppard and North York Centre TTC stations, the Centre's surrounding area boasts ample on-street and underground parking, and convenient special needs parking near the theatre entrance.
Professional staff facilitated moving a huge crowd in and out of the venue incredibly smoothly. We had great seats, and there doesn’t appear to be a bad seat in the house. Our experience was slightly marred by a rude woman who refused to shut up during the performance, until other patrons made a considerable fuss and her husband threatened to leave her there. However, that was not the venue’s fault, and it looked like staff were about to step in.

The Kindred Spirits Orchestra (KSO) has been performing to a great acclaim, sold-out audiences, and standing ovations at the Flato Markham Theatre and at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, as well as at the CBC Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. Led by the charismatic Maestro Kristian Alexander, the KSO is enjoying growing popularity among York Region's residents and continues to attract avid audiences across the Greater Toronto Area. In 2013, 2015 and 2019, the KSO was presented Awards from the Government of Canada for the "extraordinary work of the Kindred Spirits Orchestra promoting Canadian music and Canadian composers in the community as well as for the orchestra’s community outreach and educational programs”. Between 2016 and 2019, the Government of Ontario awarded 21 members of the KSO for their contribution to the development of arts and culture in the community.
KSO is great! I was impressed much by KSO conductor Kristian Alexander performed in opening night gala last year October. He is an excellent conductor to lead his professional KSO musical group, I’m looking forward to see the concert on Oct 17 2020 by KSO : Beethoven Fifth Symphony, Erik Kreem’s Waltz and a world première of a Violin concerto by Werner Chan. It would be spirit inspiration during the pandemic this year.
