The largest city on the Adriatic Coast, seaside delight Split has been under Roman, Venetian, Austrian, French, Italian and Yugoslav control. There is an abundance of restaurants and wine cellars. Sites such as Diocletian's Palace and Mausoleum, the Grgur Ninski Statue and the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domnius justify its position as a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. The city's coves offer several lovely beaches, including central Bacvice. Ferries link Split to Dalmatian summer resorts.

Dear visitor, we are pleased to announce that Froggyland is opening on 07/05/2021. We are looking forward to your visit.
Absolutely fantastic experience - went in the evening so had place to ourselves, was only a 20-30 minute trip but for the price was completely worth it. The most unique and enjoyment museum I have every been in, as well as learning informative information on the history of the stuffed frogs and their taxidermy! Completely recommend to all if you want a laugh and to learn something new

This beautiful museum was just wonderful experience for me and my toddler ???? Music playing in the background, light adjusted for exhibited parts, kind staff member who took pictures of us side by side with Danaerys and Jon snow, for example ♥️ Also, their recommendation for the fan shop nearby and welcoming energy were definitely things i will remember & come back there! All the best ????

Info at In Your Pocket is a good summary. Museum website is Flash-enabled - doesn't appear to have any English pagesWe visited August 2009.Fascinating museum. 10 kn admission included an excellent guided tour, our guide spoke good English. Picked up a lot of Croatian history during our visit. Torpedo display particularly interesting - torpedoes were invented by a UK-Italian partnership in Rijeka (Google Whitehead-Luppis). Strongly recommended.
We've been in other maritime museums; this one is tops! The displays are well laid out, well marked, and comprehensive - have you ever seen an old telescoping decompression chamber, a multi-ton boat installed stop a serene hill with fabulous city views, personal articles is seafarers over millennia, unusual pieces of civilian and military technology, large and small? This is the best museum in Croatia; see it before the cruise ship crowds discover it... or even after they do; it's capacious and everything is very well placed
