Small separate rooms with a cabin decor located behind the americinn in Ogallala and managed by them . All new and very clean . We could take our puppy out to do his duty without disturbing other guests. Great find and good price (pets are free).

We were only there for a short stay but enjoyed the vibe of the hotel. Room was big and the decor of the whole hotel is modern and felt new! The female check in person looked like she didn’t want to be there but the guy we mostly interacted with was super nice and helpful. Parking on site was easy. The hotel is in the Downtown area and we were fully aware that it would not be a vibrant area of the city but it was just a 15 minute walk to The Old Market Historic area.

Bed and Breakfast on 6 beautiful acres between Lincoln and Omaha. We host events as well, such as weddings and reunions.
Everything is beautiful including the hosts!! Relaxing and fun. I will be back! The flowers, trees and birds took my breath away. Everything you want in a weekend and more. You will not be disappointed with your stay.

Our family of 23 enjoyed a Christmas holiday at the Rice Lodge. It was terrific that there were beds/baths for all with only a couple that needed to be shared. The Lodge was clean and welcoming with all needed linens and towels - even hair dryers. Since it was Christmas, we cooked meals for all and, with a little planning, we found that the kitchen met our needs. We highly recommend the Lodge for family reunions or groups of friends.

Old style roadside motel. Looked like 6 rooms operating. Clean, rooms well kept up. Carpet good. Bed comfortable. Highway in front and railroad tracks behind. Didn't bother me but some light sleepers may have a problem. If you stay here you are likely driving the Sandhills Journey. Every town along here is similar. Very few places to stay.

The Redwood Inn in Halsey, Nebraska is less than 2 miles from the entrance to Nebraska National Forest, right in the heart of the Sandhills. With 11 guest rooms, plus a 2-bedroom bunkhouse, the Redwood is the perfect home base for your Sandhills adventure.
This place is under new management, very clean and accommodating. There’s only a few places in town to eat at the RV place and the Double TT bar which is right across the street from the motel. I thought the price is good, and the town was quiet except for the train which they said might improve if the railroad puts in some new equipment. I would love a hot tub and fire pit but it was good
THE Sanctuary is a respite for weary travelers, seasonal hunting parties, and large groups. This renovated church that was built in the last 1800's, offers an unique space that is warm and spacious.

Our first visit to CRO started when I did not draw an elk tag for Wyoming, and opted go to Nebraska for duck and goose hunting. We found out about CRO, booked it, and 4 years later my wife I just finished our 3rd visit. Whether you are looking for a trip with your wife or your buddies the entire staff at CRO will make you feel welcome and take care of you at every step of your trip. While we obviously went there for the Duck and Goose Hunting, i can tell you after 3 visits that the lodging and the FOOD are every bit as good as the hunting. This last visit Chris D and his staff catered to my wife's non-red meat diet with several Duck and Pheasant Dishes for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner that were beyond spectacular. As for the Hunting, I would be hard pressed to imagine any disappointment in what you will experience here. I have hunted other lodges that hurry you in and out of blinds to make way for other customers and I can tell you - you will not get any of that here. Toby and Ross will spend as much time with you in the blind as you desire. If numbers are what you are all about, in our 9 hunts I would say we were 95% limits on Greenheads and 90% limits on Honkers and 100 % SATISFACTION. Annie and I would definitely recommend CRO to friends, family and fellow hunters and we absolutely plan on being back there again.

The room was huge, the owners very friendly, and cool in spite of the hot weather. Really appreciate the ceiling fan! The room was also very cluttered, with 11 pieces of furniture and tons of nic-naks. It is more of a 'Bed' than a Bed and Breakfast. If you are leaving early, you don't get breakfast.
