Dit is een typisch Spaans restaurant, met een vriendelijke uitbater en zeer goede kok. Elke keer dat wij er komen worden we verwelkomt met een heerlijk hapje. Steak wordt gebakken in een met hout gestookte grill en het is 1 van die restaurants waar men nog een echte blue chaud kan bakken. In dit restaurant vind je enkel Spanjaarden, geen toeristisch gedoe, alleen maar lekker eten. Top adres!

Wassy's has been part of the Albox scene for more than a dozen years. The staff are very helpful and the waiter speaks good English.The menu is basic but excellent value for money.We had a small plate of spicy squid to share from the tapa menu and then chose our dishes from the board showing photos of all the meals available. We had a nice salad each to start which is part of the deal. Then my wife had swordfish and chips with a fried egg (everything comes with a fried egg) and I had three pieces of perfectly cooked, tasty pork with chips and the fried egg. We had a bottle of agua con gas, a bottle of Rioja and two coffees, and the bill came to 27 euros. Highly recommended for cheap, tasty nosh.

Anoche cené allà con mi familia y me encanta el ambiente relajado y espacioso que ofrecen. Es un restaurante familiar que te hace sentir cómodo al momento.Te sirven pronto y están atentos sin ser agobiantes.La comida es abundante y tienen carne a la brasa que preparan a la vista del comensal.Ofrecen vino del paÃs asà como variedad de bebidas a gusto del cliente.La terraza está abierta en verano y tienen una colchoneta para que salten los niños. En época de frÃo, se cierra el lugar y poner buena calefacción sin restar espacio a su salón rústico. Lo mejor de todo es el trato del personal, muy agradable y servicial. Aunque siempre hay que mirar el bolsillo, por lo que recomiendo que lo visiten ustedes mismos y comprueben lo bien que se come por poco dinero.

The place has both Spanish and other Europeans customers enjoying what is probably the best food in this small town.Tapas and menu del dia are both excellent. They have recently started offering menu del noche (12⬠for 3 courses inc wine or beer and coffee) where the place gets sort of transformed into a little bistro on Thurs/Fri/Sat evenings. The chef has a genuine passion for his cooking and it shows. They have a small but good selection of wines from Spain and other countries, cold beer and great coffee.... Well worth a visit.

We found this place during a first visit to Albox. The staff were very welcoming even putting up with our appalling Spanish.We had intended just to have coffee but the tapas menu looked intriguing so we dipped in. The tapas is served in slider buns with fries and is delicious and filling.We will certainly be visiting Elephant again and would recommend others do the same.

Four of us ventured up the mountain to the Virgin del Saliente restaurant, a 20m min drive from Albox. The views from the monastery were stunning.We had booked, but were a little disappointed to find we were the only diners there, however it didn't spoil it for us.Salad and fresh bread, followed by a choice of 5 or 6 starters, main course, sweet, coffee and 1/2 bottle of wine per couple all for just â¬12:50... Nicely decorated place, excellent service and great food. Will definitely return very soon.

Three of us had a meal here yesterday evening. Friendly family run. We booked online which gives a discount on the extensive a la carte menu.Bread alioli large salad. Mussels and octopus Galicia as starters followed by mixed paella and squid with potatoes and vegetables. No room for pudding. Wine and water.All perfectly cooked and all for 49 euros.What a shame it was so quiet. Maybe it is bussier at the weekend when there is live music on the outside terrace.We will go again!!

Hi, There is a saying among travellers 'never go back". Memory is so often better than current reality.My last review was doubtful but reassured by recent posts Sandra & I returned. Won't bother again.A Pale Reflection of What It Once Was.Yes, huge amounts of food for the mone, but the Starters & Mains have shrunk and Lamb only on Sunday.No longer open on Saturday.No we shall leave our memories untarnished and relegate to "great VFM ", "used to be so much better" & wouldn't manage to get Sandra there again.So disappointed.Bob
