Find out what Soups restaurants to try in Termoli. Termoli (Molisano: Térmle) is a town and comune (municipality) on the Adriatic coast of Italy, in the province of Campobasso, region of Molise. It has a population of around 32,000, having expanded quickly after World War II, and it is a local resort town known for its beaches and old fortifications. Once it was known only as a fishing port, but in the new millennium it is a favourite resort for Italian families.

We spent some days in Termoli and found this nice restaurant in the heart of Termoli. The stylish atmosphe in this old house immediately catches your eyes. especially to mention is the extremely modern and clean bathroom. We visited this resaurant several times during the last 10 days and tried various different dishes.Expecially the very fresh seefood starters - carpaccio and crudo on ice-plate we did love very much because you could feel the very fresh taste from the sea. But also fish in all different variations and one time a lobster with pasta we tried. Several times we finished the meal with a nice sorbet. Also to mention is, that we got some nice wine recommentation so that all our dinners were perfect. It seams that in this restaurant a young team is working - service was friendly and professional - so we will come back again for sure

La sacrestia

La Sacrestia does nothing poorly at least that I detected with my wandering eye and engaged palate. Unfortunately, it doesn't wander from such mediocrity on the positive side either. My wife's anchovy formaggio pizza tasted ordinary, that is for (tinned fish) Westchester, Suffolk or Putnam Counties in New York State. The EVOO was thin, bread nondescript. My unispiring spaghetti frutti di mare had minuscule characterless mussels, clams unopened and small (not as in vongole), one lonely small crustation and shrimp each, and some rubbery small strips of tasteless squid. They suggested refrigerator/freezer nearby rather than the ubiquitous Termoli sea. The sauce was somewhat better. I suggest the folks here, if needed, charge a iittle more-or even serve a little less in bulk and deliver a level of quality anticipated in a seafood haven town. A half of local sfizzando white was decent enough to finish. The skewered calamari--saving the average with an uplift- was considerably better, nicely seared, generous of portion, tender and seemingly fresh. Sadly there was no hot vegetable side available during the afternoon, only evenings. (Ridiculous!)Dessert options which we skipped (seen while walking in) were few and visually uninspiring. My espresso had to be the smallest portion I've ever seen anywhere, infant side of the poo shallow in its cup. Service was spotty and clearly seemed more attentive to what appeared potentially repeat customers. This is not something commonly occurring in Italy over many long visits. The waiter and his almost painfully joyless young assistant never once glanced at our table and had to be waved at twice for attention, though relatively unbusy. This was not the case with other tables who seemed to get more normal attention. Again , not at all common in my many years of Italian dining. The reasonable price and calamari skewers saved me from a more skewering evaluation of our experience. I am almost dissembling while reaching way up to an average score as final judgment.

We arrived early in the evening after having scouted the other restaurants in Termoli, but what grabbed us about il Borgo was the unpretentiousness and humble atmosphere that the place had. We sat down and were greeted by our waitress (Tonya) who told us what was on the menu. Even though we speak some Italian, she catered to our needs and spoke slower or simpler when needed. We ended up ordering the set menu, which is 35 Euros per person, which comes with a bottle of wine, and 4 (!!!) dishes. We had no idea what to expect, other than the fact that it'll all be freshly caught fish. The wine was perfectly paired with all the dishes we had, quite clearly due to the chef's sommelier status. We loved the wine. All the dishes were served one after the other, we probably only had no food in front of us for a total of 20 minutes of our 3 h stay, and the food was amazing - we've very rarely tasted fish that was fresher, tastier and better cooked. There was a table in vicinity to us with two children, and they catered perfectly for them, making two special dishes for the children even though they weren’t on the menu. We were very touched by that gesture. When it started raining, the transfer to the inside of the restaurant was done very smoothly. The service is impeccable, and the owner/chef himself walked around talking to people and telling them about the region, the food and Termoli itself.Overall, we would like to say thank you (grazie) once again to the owner and Tonya, who made our stay absolutely lovely! We will be coming back again.

Da Nicolino

Opposite the main entrance to the Old Town, this restaurant was busy. It claims a recognised local dish, a kind of bouillabaise, and unsurprisingly the menu is mainly seafood and fish. There are only three side dishes and they are all salads so if you crave chips or other vegetables you need to go elsewhere. For starters we chose mackerel with red peppers and cod 'meat' balls and for mains we had grilled plaice with a mixed salad and grilled red mullet with a rocket and tomato salad. Bread was provided and we enjoyed a bottle of local white wine, Svevo, which went down easily, also water. The fish suffered from being over-grilled, some of the mackerel was a bit chewy and the cod balls lacked flavour. We sat at the back near the cassa, the entrance to the kitchen, and the dresser containing table equipment. These were all close to our table and the coming and going did not make for a relaxed meal. The staff were professional and efficient. We paid E66.

Michelin recognized restaurant for obvious reasons. Small quaint restaurant in the heart of the old town of Termoli. Ate in the private room downstairs for a wedding anniversary event. Beautifully decorated. Food was excellent. Pasta homemade. Seafood perfectly cooked. Food came out quickly. Attentive wait staff. Perfect venue for a small private event. Also a perfect venue for a romantic dinner. Would definitely return. Spaghetti di mare was my favourite dish.

It was a pleasure tonight for an "impactful" (key cover word when one's no longer wearing a younger man's clothes) birthday celebration to taste the varied range afforded by Termoli's Il Grottino Ristorante Pizzaria. Here the ratio of cost to value is quite strong. To begin, our table was introduced with a tasty house gifted lightly fried and slightly salted bruschetta cum basket of bread. We began officially with a liter of water, half of local tasty sfizzando white chardonney, single shared antipasto of four natural tastes of the sea combined with three similarly cooked. This was followed by my excellent and generous portion of tagliatelle nero sepia chock-a-block with baby clam vongole, the taste of which could off knock one's socks. My wife had a brilliant light gamberi/shrimp ravioli. (Aside: I rarely find ravioli well balanced, usually a mask for bland internal ingredients. This was that somewhat rarer happy exception). Our entree consisted of two halves on a single plate (allowed as it was a compleano/ aka aniverso di nato/happy birthday allowance) of skewered broiled pulpo and roasted gamberi. We had absolutely no room for dessert (despite touching no bread and oil) and the final cost was an excellent E 56 plus tip. The table next to ours consisted of three younger gents engaging wholesome looking individual pizzas and excellent beer. (Ageist comment forewarning: they may have talked and /or looked up at each other 5% of the time they sat, otherwise absorbed in their personal phone "research". Sad to see such antisocial "social media"patterns in both Italy and America, which empashizes the lately measurable lessening proximate contact between genders on both sides of the Atlantic.'Nuff said! On a lighter finishing note, it's easy to see how Il Grottino has earned its COE TA stripes. A solid relaxing recommendation! Thanks for the nice words, we were happy to welcome you and your wife for her birthday directly from New York
