This is a real family run restaurant with efficient waitresses and a chef who keeps an eye on his customers. There is little choice just fresh fish dishes and good local wines. We had antipasti that kept on coming - prawns, octopus salad, mussels in cheese, more mussels, broad bean mash with fish, fresh anchovies, white bait, more I forget! We really hardly needed our linguine and scampi but we had it anyway plus a lemon sorbet and a limoncello on the house. Lovely primitive wine for under £10, house wine even less. Unpretentious and authentic, book as it's busy. We paid under £50 for two.

Wide and restaurant overlooking the sea, suitable for any kind of receipt.
I very rarely give any restaurant a 5, on the basis that there's always something to improve. Having given this place a lot of thought I think it is worth top marks. We arrived at 1.30pm for lunch and half expected a cool reception or even to be turned away. Instead we were greeted with open arms and smiles and shown to a table overlooking the sea. Our orders were taken as soon as we were ready and the antipasti started to arrive soon after. It was plentiful and delicious, so much so that we almost didn't want anything else. However, we were attracted by an unusual looking pasta dish and were very glad we did. Thereafter we were too full for dessert but enjoyed coffee and amaro. The food was excellent, not a thing we didn't like and not a scrap left behind. We can recommend the Antipasti and the cavatelli made with chickpea flour served with seafood and chickpea puree. As we ate we admired the view over the Adriatic to Polignano another, the waves lapping on the rocks the perfect background sounds. All this with water, wine, coffee and amaro a shade over â¬50.So, here's the rationale behind the rating. Service, quality of food, location and value all excellent. For what this restaurant sets out to be you couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be back. thank you very much and we look forward soon

We hosted a dinner here for 35 people during my daughters wedding weekend in the area. While the menu is not cheap considering the seasonality, freshness and quantity of the seafood served it was a value. We had about 5 courses of every fresh seafood the area had to offer at that time of the year, which was early April. We were served a white wine throughout the meal that perfectly paired with every course and had a freshness and complexity which made it very enjoyable to all of our guest. The service for 35 people could have been spotty, but it was spot on.Thank you very much!

The Trulli Valle Adriatic coast is characterized by the presence of numerous medieval towns and villages that overlook the sea as Polignano that add to the richness of a historic and artistic heritage the striking beauty of the rocky seabed and crystal cl
Our best meal in Puglia !We chose the cheapest chefs menu at 35 euros per head and were blown away ,the course just kept coming . Starting with superb raw fish and cold octopus we moved to delicious large portions of cold fish with black rice with salmon . Next came the pasta with all sorts of fish ,clams and mussels. We thought that was it but then came a large piece of hot tuna for me (GF option ) and many fired fish for my wife . We couldnât manage it all!We politely refused the fresh fruit and finished off with a wonderfully sharp lemon sorbet.Brilliant food and brilliant value washed down with a creamy fruity white wine by the glass and they were extremely generous glasses.Warm friendly service as we sat on the balcony .A memorable meal which would have cost £150 per head in London - at least !Our total bill was 98 euros ! The restaurant is just out of the main centre and the crowds which suited us fine.

Sala ricevimenti-Ristorante-Pizzeria-Gluten free.
Definitely the worst dining experience I have had in Italy, the âwaiterâ must have been trained my Manuel! We were the only diners so forgetting what we had ordered, bringing our vegetables before our starters, and generally being a total disaster. The food itself was reasonable and the setting very attractive however the abysmal âserviceâ just totally ruined any semblance of enjoyment. Avoid like the plague, I know I will.

Arrived at closing time in a afternoon, the owner was happy to accommodate us anyway. We ordered seafood pasta and seafood risotto, and got grilled fresh tuna and baked orata. Huge portions (even if in Italy it is not common yet, they gave us a box to carry out left overs). Very good quality food at a very reasonable price. Walking distance from town center.

I wouldnât say itâs the worst because i have never had such VERY VERY bad experience. The first time in 20 years, I donât leave any tip to the service.THE Owner and the personnel are not friendly and they make you feel unconfirtable. The advice for the wine was inexistant to not say « take whatever... I donât care about you »the fish was not well flaked!!!!RUN AWAY from this restaurant !!!!this restaurant doesnât deserve to exist!!!I am angry at Michelin inspectors.WTF Michelin! are you distributing your stickers for free!!!!Itâs unacceptable that this restaurant argue that he is a michelin rated!!!You can find very easily and rapidly much better and welcomer restaurants!!!Buongiorno âï¸ ha detto tutto e nulla grazie lo stesso in Svizzera siete simpaticissimi invece.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a local when looking for a good fish restaurant. This is one of those times that I wish Trip Advisor had a rating between average and very good. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 teen girls. The foodAmazing selection of seafood all extremely fresh or alive in tanks, you choose your fish from the ice counter or tank. The fish is simply prepared and staff are very knowledgeable and happy to make suggestions. We had a mixed salad of octopus, squid and prawns to start which was delicious. They prepared a large plaice for the 3 of us eating fish. The catered for the vegetarian in the family and also had a vegan menu.LocationTucked away down a track that looks like it leads to an industrial estate. We turned around once thinking we must have got it wrong. Nice inside but no view to speak of and not near the water. ServiceWe felt a bit rushed. We were given an English menu but it was large and we would have liked to have taken more time over it. I don't know if we had arrived near the end of the lunch service but it felt as if we had (14:00) as we felt under pressure to order.WineReasonable selection of 1/2 bottles; (we were driving) but a very extensive local wine list overall so we wished we weren't. Overall good fresh seafood, not the best ambiance or service but good enough. If you are looking for very fresh seafood this is a good choice. Thank you very much for your review! I'm sorry you felt under pressure to order, I assure you that was not the case.

A charming place, a restaurant with all the features to become "historical", since it stands where the first stones of Neapolis were placed in the far Middle Ages, today Polignano a Mare. Antiche Mura Restaurant is like the "Rotonde", the enchanting resta
The first thing that strikes you about this restaurant is its lovely, ancient design -- part of the interior wall is the old wall of the city. The seafood is extraordinary and the service excellent. We ate there twice during our stay in Puglia and each time was delicious. Highly recommended.
