Stopped in for a tea and scone - home made with a fabulous butter-cream topping. Lovely staff. You pop upstairs over the butcher shop and the walls are covered with local artistsâ work, that are for sale. Ended up taking away a lovely sandwich for laterâdelicious!

This cafe is right on the greenway but also beside Mulranny beach.I stopped here for lunch with a group of 11 companions who were cycling on the Greenway. There is outdoor and indoor seating. The food is very fresh and tasty sandwiches and quiche all served with very fresh salad. The prices are very reasonable . the owners and the young man who served us were very friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend dropping in here for lunch.

The Post House, Ballina is PASSIONATE about food- serving the finest breakfasts, lunches and homemade baked goods In Mayo!!! It is a Family run business with a cosy and friendly atmosphere!!
Visited ThePost for a midday snack and I can genuinely say that it was ideal for our light meal. The 'man of the house' was most friendly and offered us lots of information about Ballina. Our food was very well presented and tasty. As cafes go The Post not expensive and has a good midday menu

Work your way through the shop upstairs to the cafe ( if you can avoid being distracted by the beautiful books and goodies on sale). It is a beautiful space with thought put into the layout and original touches perhaps remaining from the original factory workrooms, wood panelling and signage.I ordered the fishcakes which came with a little bit of every salad, an excellent macchiato and a slice of the seasonal fruit tart. I opted for rhubarb but there was a selection.I had a 4 hour drive ahead of me so this little cafe was well worth the detour, fresh and delicious with a helping of heart.Highly recommended

This place on the sea frontage at Westport is deservedly popular. It's essential to book a table in the rather cramped dining space but service is speedy and efficient. Everything you might expect in such a popular place is on the extensive menu. My partner enjoyed her scallops and mussels and I enjoyed the home-made fish cakes (with a large fish content!) and my sole as a main course, all very tasty indeed. If you don't mind the noise associated with a very busy, traditional inn, then this is the place for you. Would go again!

Open fire's and cozy snugs await you .Locally sourced food from our award winning menu are on offer daily in the shadow of Croagh Patrick on the shores of Clew Bay. Come and visit
We recently spent 10 days in Ireland and I had the opportunity to experience seafood chowder at many locations including Dromoland Castle, Ashford Castle and at various restaurants and pubs; so the competition in comparison was high. The Tavern had the perfect blend of a great base and plenty of stock in the chowder. The taste was rich and it appeared as if I never ran out of fresh seafood in the bowl. Kudos to the chef! I'll come back here on my next trip to Ireland.Dear John W.What praise!!!! and to be mentioned within a very impressive list. Our chef is singing your comments from the roof top. Thank you so much for the lovely review. Hope it won't be too long before we offer you another tasting.....Kind RegardsRuth

Kellyâs Kitchen is an award winning café in Newport town, near Westport, in the heart of the Great Western Greenway. Located at the top of the Main Street beside the family butcher shop; Kellyâs of Newport. â Call in for the excellent cooking, home baking
One of my highlights of visiting Newport is always a trip to kelly's kitchen where the combination of delicious homemade food and the warm and friendly faces of the amazing Shuana and Martin always leave me stuffed and smiling. I would highly recommend their delicious salad with candid walnuts or their kellys black pudding washed down with a slice of home baked cake and a pot of tea.
